Ultraman kitchen timer saves the bacon

Moms might turn into Godzillas whenever they potter about in the kitchen, only to realize that they have left the turkey in the oven for way too long simply because they have a thousand and one other things to attend to around the home. Now, the turkey could have been saved (and inadvertently, the Godzilla side of mom would not have surfaced) if you had bought her the Ultraman kitchen timer for Christmas. Japanese toy manufacturers Kotobukiya have announced the Ultraman Warning Light Kitchen Timer, where it was specially designed after Ultraman?s warning light that is worn on his chest. Featuring similar light patterns and sounds from the shows, you can pick it up for around $27.30 after conversion. I have always wondered how come Ultraman never starts off the fight by releasing his super power and destroy the alien creature right from the get go, when it is quite clear his hand-to-hand combat skills are never enough to subdue an opponent as he is no Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris.

Nikon Coolpix S9300 is king of new S-series
digital cameras

Nikon has half a dozen new Coolpix S-Series digital cameras that intend to deliver advanced functions without coming up short on style and design. The highlight of this group would be the S9300 (although the S9200 does come close in comparison), where both are high-power zoom models which feature 18x optical zoom NIKKOR lenses, and thanks to the backside illumination CMOS image sensor and lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) system that are incorporated within, you can be sure of shooting great looking photos even when there is very little natural light around. The Coolpix S9300 will come with an integrated GPS function in order to make geotagging of your photos far easier, and you can also opt to record movies and stitching them together as a single file later on – right from the camera itself. London BlackBerry 10 phone image leaked

BlackBerry LondonRIM’s BlackBerry 10 is going to be what makes or breaks the company this year, and while it won’t be released any time soon, the first image of what appears to be a BlackBerry 10 phone, the London, has found its way online thanks to the folks over at CrackBerry. The phone looks nothing like the previously leaked photograph; this time it features rounded corners instead of sharp edges. Not a lot of details were revealed in the slide, but according to RIM, the London should have a “dramatic shift in UI experience”, have exceptional power & efficiency, and will be the ultimate communication device. Hopefully we’ll see a sneak peek at BlackBerry 10 OS at MWC next month? In the meantime, just feast your eyes on the picture above.

Mirracle Magic Mirror lets you see inside your
body

video details and more

In case you didn’t already know, the Kinect can be used as more than just a gaming device ? the possibilities of what it can be used for is near limitless. Well, the folks over at the Technical University of Munich have decided to use it for educational purposes in a project called “mirracle”. Using the Kinect as some sort of “magic mirror”, they created an augmented reality app that lets people see what the insides of their bodies look like ? as opposed to just seeing a reflection of themselves in the Kinect “mirror”. A pretty cool idea that could help the curious people who want to know what makes their body tick. Check out the video demonstration above.
