The Louvre Museum in Paris was used as the launchpad for a couple of new Samsung handsets. The Ultra Edition 8.4 claims the mantle of the thinnest 3G handset in the world, cramming in a 1.93" TFT display, a 2 megapixel camera, and a VGA camera into a body that is only 0.3" thick. On the other hand, the Ultra Edition 13.8's coronation as the world's thinnest HSDPA slider phone is rather dubious considering the fact that it is the only one of its kind available in the market at the moment. That's marketing for you - sometimes you have got to learn to read between the lines. Availability details are unknown at the moment, hopefully these handsets will make their way across the Atlantic.
