M500 watch phone hybrid

M500 watch phone hybrid

The FCC has finally given the nod to the SMS Technology M500 watch phone and will probably come in a wide variety of designs to suit your taste and fancy. Based on the specifications given so far, we know that the M500 comes with all the basic phone functions including SMS support, audio and video playback, and Bluetooth connectivity. Not sure how you're ever going to send a text message with this unless you use a compatible Bluetooth keyboard though. The leather strap sure does kill the mood for such an advanced device such as this. Additional features are available after the jump.

Lucifer match container concept

Lucifer match container concept

Mention the word Lucifer and people conjure up images of the devil. While this Lucifer is not of the horned and pitch fork variety, it still involves some form of fire. Lucifer is actually a match container that comes with its very own lighting mechanism. All you need to do is turn Lucifer upside down and shake it gently in order to remove a match from the hole on top. This hole was especially designed to create just enough friction to light the match head as it is being removed, but there remains the danger of having the match slip back in and igniting the rest of its brethren within. The Lucifer is currently a concept, waiting for hell to freeze over before it enters production.

Hand Butler aims to please

Hand Butler aims to pleaseRemember the horror movie, "The Hand"? Now that really freaked me out as a kid, and the first Pirates of the Carribean featured a severed hand from an undead stored in a drawer that evoked such memories. Thankfully, the Hand Butler looks nothing of that sort - in fact, I had to check with Disney themselves to see if Mickey Mouse had lost one of his appendages. This device is capable of delivering whatever contents that are on its palm as long as it is pointed in your intended direction. There is a sensor that detects edges, enabling it to stop before toppling over a table and creating a huge mess. Best used at the dining table methinks. The Hand Butler retails for approximately $20 and is powered by C batteries.

NeuroSky has lofty aims

NeuroSky has lofty aims

While there are those who are busy showering attention on their Wii, NeuroSky thinks that motion control using hands is so last gen, and the future of gaming lies in brain-wave-reading technology. All the player needs to do is concentrate mentally and the sensor will pick up the brain's electrical signals, sending them to a wireless receiver located within a saber. All you need to do is keep the saber lighted for as long as you can. Not much of a game, but I suppose that's more of a technology demo than anything else. Much work remains to be done before you get to control Mario and his cohorts using solely your brain. Probably Stephen Hawking would be able to pwn Fatal1ty in such a scenario.
