Add to myYahoo! Some of my friends tell me that I'm "too organized" because I scan pretty much everything - they're crazy, there's nothing called "too organized". The good news is: digital copies are much easier to copy and backup and you have a desk that is much easier to deal with. The downside: well, it can take quite a lot of time if don't optimize the scanning process. I have my own little process, but the NeatDesk might be able to take the whole thing to the next level. For one, its document feeder can take many small receipts at once, which is quite unique (I have not seen this in a consumer scanner yet). It scans double-sided documents and it also works with business cards (I'm currently using the CardScan Executive). I have not had time to play with the new NeatDesk software yet (hey, that's where the value is), but the last scanner that I bought from this company (a few years ago) was smart enough to recognize most dates and dollar amounts of receipts. stay tuned, I'll try to have a full review soon. Price: $500, by Neat Company

Add to myYahoo! If the Nikkei Business Daily report is anything to go on, the Nintendo DS is currently undergoing an exciting revamp and will be crossing over into the heavily crowded land of photos, music and portable gaming. Before you become overcome with excitement, it's due for a Christmas release... in Japan. Which most likely means a late launch some time next year is looking likely for us over in Europe (but we're used to being last in line by now).![]()
