Philips has introduced its Econova LED TV, a TV that has been awarded the European Green EV 2010-2011 by the European Imaging & Sound Association, designed to address concerns about the environment without compromising on performance. The 42-inch LED TV consumes just 40W of power in eco-mode and offers some other eco-friendly credentials such as a solar-powered remote control, e-manual and the use of recycled aluminum panel. The use of the latest LED technology also reduces energy consumption by up to 60 percent, while still delivering best-in-class picture quality. A Zero Power Switch is also included to reduce power consumption to 0W when the TV is turned off.

It's easy to forget to take our medicine and keep track of what we've taken, especially since most of us lead busy lifestyles. A concept watch dubbed the Pastillero (Pill) offers a modern solution to an age old problem. The watch is designed to keep track of the pills that you're taking and when it's time to give yourself another dose, the watch will vibrate strongly, showing the name of the pill that you're supposed to take, ensuring that you'll be able to follow the doctor's orders.

Apple has filed for a patent application related to methods and apparatus for connecting together two electrical devices in which mating connector on each device are of different sizes. The mismatch of physical design can be overcome by the use of an audio adapter that is constructed from a plug having one dimension, a jack having another dimension and a coupler that physically and electrically connects the plug and jack together, forming a single unit. Such a design would allow a device like the iPhone to be coupled with devices such as the Ameriphone - cell phone for the deaf - and use Bose's QuietComfort headphones. If such a design improved the accessibility of Apple's iPhone, it's definitely a step in the right direction.

A new Samsung phone has paid a visit to the FCC's site, bearing the model number GT-i9010. The same smartphone has also been approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Considering that the original version of the Galaxy S had the model number GT-i9000 some folks are speculating that it could be an upgraded version, possibly the rumored Nexus Two. That being said, there are folks out there who refute this, claiming that the Nexus Two sports a 1.2GHz processor and is rather different from the Galaxy S. In the end, regardless of whether the i9010 is the Nexus Two or not, we're looking forward to discovering its true nature, and hopefully it will be a knockout phone.

Nobody likes getting their products delivered late, but if you ordered a Logitech Revue and aren't rushing to get hold of it, you might be happy at the delay, since Logitech is emailing out apology gift codes for those who did not get the Google TV device as expected. The gift code is worth $25 and applies to anything on the website, not to mention that the order will be upgraded to free shipping, which isn't too bad a deal at all.

Want to be able to have more control over your car by using your iPhone? Check out the AutoBot (no, it's not Optimus Prime), a device that can connect to the OBD-II connector in your car, sending out diagnostics information, allowing you to check if the tire pressure is low or when you need an oil change directly from your phone. If you're in an accident, AutoBot can also notify your friends and family. Parents will probably be rubbing their hands in glee thanks to a feature that will allow them to spy on kids, getting updates when they leave certain areas. The device costs $300 and the service will be supported through ads, sending you relevant information such as coupons in times when you need an oil change.
