Robots crawl through your body to perform
internal surgery

I do know that there are good bacteria in my gut, millions of them hanging around to help break down the stuff that I eat. That idea, I am comfortable with, but to have a small snake robot crawl through my body as it helps assist a surgeon diagnose diseases as well as perform operations, that is where I would cringe. I suppose if it was a do-or-die situation, I would not mind having it go through my body. It reminds me far too much of the Chest Burster (of Alien fame) that has evolved from a Facehugger, gestating inside its host body before it matures further and bursts out of the chest of its host, killing the host at the same time. Well, if you are not queasy at the thought of having a creepy, metallic robot go through your body to perform surgery on your heart, help isolate cancer cells in your prostrate, as well as tend to other diseased organs, then this particular snakebot should be able to get the job done – especially when it carries small cameras, scissors and forceps, with the possibility of far more advanced sensors being in the pipeline.

Saginomiya driving simulator merges actual
vehicle with computer simulation

When it comes to driving games, gone are the days when you played from a top down view, and everything was in 2D. I remember when Daytona USA first hit the arcades – now that was a game worth investing quarters in to learn how to drift through the corners in the Advanced and Expert levels, cutting one’s driving time by as much as possible as well. Over the years, the driving simulator genre has definitely caught on, and it has also captured the imagination of gaming peripheral companies to deliver some high class offerings in the past. Saginomiya’s latest driving simulator will comprise of actual vehicle parts as well, merging the real world with that of the virtual one for an added touch of realism.

Splinter Cell: Retribution to be revealed at E3

If stealth-based games like Thief appeal to you, safe to say the Tom Clancy Splinter Cell franchise is probably a game that you?ve played before. The good news is that if you?re looking forward to the game?s sequel, presumably Splinter Cell 6, it seems that E3 is where the game could officially be revealed. Based on the rumors, Splinter Cell 6 will be known as Splinter Cell: Retribution upon release and is expected to be released in January of 2013, although the details and its announcements are rumored to be set for E3.  Ubisoft has declined to comment on the issue, but Jade Raymond of Ubisoft Toronto did ?confirm? the existence of the game a while back and has stated that the details will be revealed in the coming months, which we can now presume will be at E3. Either way with E3 being about a week away, we guess we don?t have to wait too long to find out, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!

ISS Astronaut Shares His Views on SpaceXs Dragon

spacex dragon

On Friday, we reported how the first ever commercial rocket to successfully launch into space, historically docked with the International Space Station. This truly paved the way to a future of privatized space exploration and now, having seen the Dragon himself, ISS astronaut Andre Kuipers a Dutch physician with the European Space Agency took his own blog to share his reactions about the Dragon capsule. After detailing how important an event the robot-arm docking really was, he described the craft as he saw it.

Samsungs S Voice reportedly working on all phones
again

samsung galaxy s3 pebble blueOne of the features of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is its S Voice, a voice assistant program that will help users perform certain tasks via vocal commands. As some of you guys might have recalled, the S Voice program was leaked a while back which was even before the Galaxy S3 had been released. We guess this was an actual leak (as opposed to one leaked for publicity) as Samsung wasted no time in blocking non-Galaxy S3 smartphones from accessing the S Voice service. However given that the Galaxy S3 was released to 28 countries not too long ago, there have been reports (via The Verge) that by removing the APK and reinstalling it, it has been discovered that the S Voice feature was fully functioning again! We?re not sure if this has anything to do with the Galaxy S3 being launched or if this is some kind of loophole, but if you have the S Voice APK on your phone, try removing it and reinstalling it and let us know if it is working for you.
