The notebook, was designed for folks who need a portable workstation for editing video, photography and web design (basically anybody that needs a large screen) is the world’s first of its kind.
The computer packs two 17″ full HD displays, an Intel i7 processor, 8GB of DDR1333 RAM, webcam, 500GB Hard Disk Drive, NVIDIA discrete graphics, HDMI, Super DVD Drive, and only weighs 10 pounds despite the additional of a second screen. Prices start from as low as $1899, with free shipping and 30-day money back guarantee. If you’re interested in purchasing one for yourself, just head over to the gScreen store now.

VMWare has a mobile solution that may finally bridge the gap between IT managers and users. It is well known that IT departments usually don’t like to support an array of heterogeneous devices, and it is a not a surprise that “business phones” are not really what employees want these days. The status-quo is a choice between two handsets (and two plans) or one that is “uncool”, or at least not loved.
With VMWare’s mobile solution platform, a number of Android handsets will be able to have a dual personality (personal/professional). VMWare can create a second virtual Android environment on the same phone, making two Android OSes are running at the same time. One would be for personal use, while the other can be under complete IT control. In essence, this would help solving the two handset dilemma, at least for Android users.

It looks like Microsoft is really working hard when it comes creating Windows 8. Using a lot of information collected from survey results, the company is really trying to figure out what and how consumers use Windows in order to improve the operating system’s user experience. According to one of their surveys ? out of the 200 commands available in Windows Explorer, a high percentage of users only use the same few commands in the top 10.
With that in mind, Microsoft redesigned Windows Explorer with a new interface, making sure that those top 10 commands are easily accessible from the same screen without users having to hunt them down. Taking cues from Microsoft Office’s current UI, they’ve adopted the ribbon interface for the new Windows Explorer. The ribbon UI lets users have loads of additional features that previously required third party add-ons, it allows shortcuts for every action in the ribbon, and gives users a high level of customization.

While BlackBerry users are soon going to be sharing music over the BBM Music service, it looks like iOS will have its own answer to it, through the form of Zeppelin Air. The first app that was ever designed to collect and share tunes wirelessly on iOS devices. Hosting a party, but don’t have a large enough variety of music, or you just don’t have enough music at all?
Instead of subjecting your guests to the same old music, or letting them listen to boring, advertisement-filled radio, why not let them join in the fun with their own tunes instead? And that’s what Zeppelin Air does. Using the power of AirPlay, Zeppelin Air, you’ll be able to generate a huge playlist of songs from your guests (hopefully they have iOS devices), which you can then stream to an AirPlay compatible speaker dock for the whole party to enjoy.
Since you’re the host, you’ll be able to choose what tracks get selected, what tracks don’t (i.e. if you don’t want anything too vulgar or noisy going on ? you’ve got the power to veto it). A lot of iOS-using friends required for best results. Head over to the Apple App Store to download it now (it’s free).

Jumptap, a mobile advertising agency has released statistics which shows that the HP TouchPad apps have already gathered 8% of the tablet mobile advertising share, which is comparable to Android’s 9.4%. This is a surprising number as Android tablets have been on sale for some time, while the HP Touchpad has been on the market for a mere couple of weeks. That said, the $99 has probably helped, but still, these numbers make us wonder…

While it hasn’t been officially announced yet, it looks like the AT&T 4G LTE network in the Chicago area has went live. It is uncertain if the network went live for testing purposes, or it’s a soft launch for the carrier to test the waters, but whatever the reason is, the folks over at BGR got their hands on some AT&T 4G LTE modems and ran some speed tests to check out the network.
Using an AT&T Elevate 4G LTE mobile hotspot, they tested an iPhone 4 and a MacBook yielding less than fantastic results. Seeing how the network hasn’t been officially launched, perhaps AT&T will be tweaking the network before they finally do. According to their speed tests, downloads reached a max speed of 13Mbps and uploads a little over 2Mbps, not too impressive for a 4G LTE network, though they did report that they never saw more than 3 bars of service during the tests. Any of you in Chicago with access to AT&T’s 4G LTE modem care to test out the service? Let us know if you do.
