Verizon HTC ThunderBolt update ready to roll out

Verizon has just announced that they are ready to push out a new update for their first (and only ? at least for the moment) 4G LTE phone, the HTC ThunderBolt. The update was leaked out last week through a ROM, but as of today, Verizon officially announced it through a pdf on its website.
The software update is said to improve the phone’s 3G connection, organize its text messages better, gain better access to some apps, and the usual performance enhancements. No date was mentioned in the pdf but we should expect the update to arrive pretty soon. Keep your eyes on your ThunderBolt’s notification bar for the imminent update and let us know when it arrives for your phone.

At the moment, hospitals rely on troublesome and inefficient methods to identify bacteria in a patient’s blood sample. First they have to incubate blood samples in vials for 24 to 48 hours just to see whether bacteria is present. After that, they need to perform more tests to determine what sort of bacteria it is ? and that takes another day. By then some bacteria would have already caused the death of a patient. A quicker method is needed. And a chemist from the University of Illinois seems to have the answer.

It was just yesterday that we announced the XDA-developers came up with their own fix to enable the HSUPA on the AT&T Motorola Atrix 4G. Well it appears that AT&T isn’t too comfortable with folks taking things into their own hands. From out of nowhere they’ve decided to start rolling out their own update upon us today.
In case you weren’t aware, the 4G phones (Inspire 4G and Atrix 4G) have had their upload speeds on AT&T throttled due to the fact that HSUPA (the feature that allows phones to upload at 4G speeds) isn’t enabled on those devices. AT&T has previously mentioned that HSUPA was still under testing and that they wanted to perfect the experience before letting those phones have it.

The MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online game) scene hasn’t really been shaken up since the release of DC Universe Online at the beginning of this year but it looks like things are about to change. After the success of DC’s DC Universe Online, it looks like Marvel isn’t content letting DC having most of the superhero MMO pie to itself.
