Stuck at home this Halloween weekend with nothing to do? That’s alright because OnLive has got some plans for you. The cloud video game service has announced that it will be giving away five games just for you to celebrate your Halloweekend at home. Starting today, all the way until Monday, you’ll be able to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent, F.E.A.R. 3, Metro 2033 and Orcs Must Die for the special price of free.
All you have to do is sign up, install and launch the OnLive app, pick the free game from the Marketplace, Select “Get Game” and 3-Day Rental ($0.00), enter your password and you’re good to go. And after you’re done with those four games, on Monday (October 31st) you’ll be able to get another game for free if you’re a fan of OnLive’s Facebook page. The game hasn’t been announced yet so we don’t know what it is, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a Halloween/horror-themed game.
So who’s staying home this weekend?

If you thought that Sprint had no problem with its users installing tethering apps on their phones, it looks like times have changed. A few months ago, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon blocked their users from downloading tethering apps via the Android Market, leaving Sprint as the only carrier without the restriction. But recently, a number of Sprint subscribers noticed that the carrier has finally put the restrictions in place.
While the apps still work now (which, by the way, are still sideloadable onto your Android phones) nobody knows for how long. While this may help curb network issues that it is currently facing, I don’t think making it harder for people to tether is the right way to go about it.

Well, it looks like the availability of the $99 HP TouchPad has come to an end. HP has finally sent out notices saying that it is officially out of TouchPad tablets, so for those of you who didn’t manage to pick one up the second time around, you’re out of luck ? at least if you’re looking to purchase it from HP. On the same note, Best Buy has announced that it will be offering the 32GB TouchPad for $149.99 ? provided you purchase an HP or Compaq laptop, desktop or all-in-one computer from them.
Sure, that might seem a little pricey, but if you were thinking of getting another computer anyway, I guess wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to pick up the tablet as well. Then again, eBay or Craigslist is always there for you. How many of you managed to buy the HP TouchPad when its price first dropped to $99?

Gamestop has previously mentioned that it will be releasing gaming tablets next year, but for now it looks like it will be in the business of selling regular Android tablets at some of its stores. As of today, the company will be offering a lineup of various Android tablets that come with access to the Kongregate Arcade app store, with 7 free games including Dead Space, Madden and Sonic CD. Depending on how well the retailer does with these tablets, the company may or may not sell tablets at more stores in 2012.
The tablets you’ll be able to buy from Gamestop are: the Acer Iconia Tab A100, ASUS Eee Pad Tansformer and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The tablets cost about the same as you would find them elsewhere, with the only incentive to purchase them from Gamestop being the free games and the opportunity to pick up games for your other consoles when you shop for a tablet. Are 7 free games enough to convince you to shop with them?

Add to myYahoo! Not the recommended playing position, but why not? Moog Music is known for making some freaky instruments. The company started out in 1954, producing a theremin, an instrument you play by moving your hands through thin air, and later became famous for hulking modular synthesizers that were controlled by messy and confounding patch bays.
