I guess Sony wants to get couples into the habit of reading with their new V-Day Sony Reader Bundle that comes in pink, retailing for $299. You get a pink "Cross Your Heart" Reader skin complete with a coupon for 14 Harlequin Special Releases - I guess you must really know your partner extremely well. Don't bother about hoping for a model with souped up hardware - all you get is just a cosmetic change and 'free passes' for lovey dovey books that feature a well-chiseled guy and the daintiest of women on the cover.

I'm sure many of us have already noticed Google's tribute to LEGO's 50th anniversary in the block building business (may Tetris hit the big 50 as well), and there's more to it than just a fancy logo. Apparently, Google co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, once used LEGO bricks as an external low-cost and expandable casing for ten 4GB hard drives while developing Google's search engine. That's a long time ago - up to 10 years of rolling the clock back. The original LEGO server casing is still around and is currently on display as part of an exhibition chronicling 80 years of computing machines at Stanford University in California.

XFPS has just released an adapter that allows one to plug in a USB or PS/2 mouse and keyboard, mapping it to the appropriate commands on your PS3 controller. I suppose this would definitely snag you an edge over those using the standard controller when engaged in an FPS title. Would you fork out $99 for this? I might be a bit reserved forking out that amount, considering there are only a small amount of games which allow you to use something more than the standard controller to play.

Looks like Skyfire could be the end all and be all when it comes to browsing the Internet on a Windows Mobile smartphone. This means you will be able to experience Flash advertisements, YouTube videos, MySpace and Facebook applications without any problem whatsoever. Compatible with both Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 operating systems regardless of whether you're using a touch screen or non-touch screen device, Skyfire provides a full desktop-like web browsing wherever you are. Too bad mobile device screens are still too small to fully experience portable desktop screens, unless integrated projectors are hurried out of the manufacturing line fast enough. HTC Mogul ROM Leaked

Looks like HTC's Mogul has a brand new ROM in town, and we know this courtesy of a leak. This new ROM claims to offer GPS support, EV-DO Rev. A action, and more among others. I'm afraid this ROM update might come a little too late, considering the device was rolled out last spring - that's almost a full year by now with some rather crippled functions. The ROM version is still in beta mode with no indication of a commercial release, so download and flash this at your own risk.

Wireless Charging Cell Phones from MWg

MWg has announced that they will be launching cell phones that feature wireless charging sometime this year, teaming up with Splashpower to introduce inductive charging to the masses. I guess cell phones of the future will adopt this method if it catches on, but in the meantime we still have to contend with a tangled mess of wires whenever we start packing our chargers on a long road trip. Hopefully MWg keeps to their world and release these wireless-power smart phones by the middle of the year.
