Is an online lie-detector possible? The Japanese certainly think so, with the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications allocating 300 million yen (approximately $2.56 million) in its budget next year to develop a lie-detector that weeds out wrongful online information. The Ministry intends it to return search results according to their reliability, and informing you if certain links contain a whole lot of dubious information. The main obstacles would be tracking down reliable Web-based sources for all the information related to a search and developing an unerring accuracy level. Will the brains behind Google be able to help out in this collaboration?

The M-Cody M22 does not offer any substantial improvement over its predecessor, the M20. In fact, the only thing that received an upgrade was the USB 1.1 port being bumped up to a more respectable USB 2.0. This digital audio player still retains its uber-cool touch-sensitive control scheme, doing away with the LG Chocolate-red LED light and replacing it with a lovely shade of blue instead. There are no pricing details regarding the slim M-Cody M20, but we doubt you will have to break the bank to purchase one.

Does size really matter? Apparently, it does in the world of the ultra rich. Seamless Display has come up with the Radius 320 that is actually an amalgamation of three 20.1" LCD displays that offer a whooping 50" diagonal screen at a maximum resolution of 5.76 million pixels. This Cerebrus inspired display is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. One great thing about this display is the non-requirement for any special driver as it runs just fine with the standard driver provided by your video card manufacturer. You can pick it up online, but there is no price stated at the moment. After gazing at our crystal ball, we conclude that it is going to be expensive. Very. You know what they say - if you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Pepperface has spiced things up (pun not intended) with its latest release of Palm Defenders that ought to bring out the purse in any woman who lays eyes on them. These are nothing but glorified pepper spray canisters, but how can you turn down something that looks so good, any handbag would be honored to contain one? Guys, show your better half that you care for her safety by picking one up today. Prices range from $35 for the standard version upwards, with those adorning authentic Swarovski crystals touching the $300 mark. It does lead one to wonder though - will such a glossy device attract the attention of no-gooders in the first place?

Add to myYahoo!I raised the question earlier this yearas to whether or not have consumers finally got fed up with proprietary systems such as the PSP anddo they want the freedom of an open-source handheld system like the GP2X? Some geek bloggers (1,2) and forums (1,2)have gone as far as dubbing the GP2X a “PSP killer”. Yes, I may have even referred tothe GP2X in the same sentence as “PSP killer”, but in reality, Ibelieve Sony is the PSP’s worst enemy. In any case, the Geeks havebeen playing with a GP2X from GamePark Holdings over the past couple ofmonths. Read on to view the comprehensive GP2X review with comparisons toSony’s PSP.

Coffin manufacturer Uono has put up its latest creation from designer Andreas Spiegel for sale. Known as The Cocoon, the naming convention is a double entendre as it physically resembles one as well as helps loved and closed ones come to terms with one's passing to a better place. This lightweight coffin weighs just 20kg and uses a soy-based resin that is lined with jute. It takes around 10 to 15 years to decompose, and is suitable for cremation as well. Choose from 14 colors, or engage in the Haute Couture program for a customized color. Pre-order yours for $3,500 today to ensure you won't be sent off in a tacky looking box.
