Slim Bezels On Sony LCD TVs

Slim Bezels On Sony LCD TVs

Sony has new Bravia LCD TVs lined up for this spring, totalling a cool 11 from the F1, V1, J1 and M1 series. The F1 series will come in 32", 40" and 46" models with narrow bezels (around 27mm), while the V1 series is larger on average with 40", 46" and 52" models, employing Motionflow technology for smooth video display. Then we have the 32", 26" and 20" models from the J1 series that target the budget conscious segment of the market, and last but not least the M1 series will feature 16" and 20" models, targeting those who have just started to work and are trying to find a footing in this cold, cruel world. Guess thin is still in, especially where bezels are concerned. I wonder when will the day come where we get a full-bleed, borderless LCD TV? That ought to turn more than a few heads in the industry.

Sony And Sharp Team Up

Sony And Sharp Team Up

Sony will be working together with Sharp when it comes to the manufacturing of flat panel LCD TVs, with Sony throwing in $926 million in a plant Sharp is building. This plant is expected to be operational by March 2010, as Sony doesn't want to rely on just Samsung for its LCD panels. This partnership will probably yield more stability in Sony's Bravia LCD TV line, although Sharp will still hold the majority of the shares with a 66% stake.

There is a new OtterBox 1936 protective case released, and this time round it doesn't keep anything with the "i" prefix dry. You will still be able to access the trackball, sync/charge USB port, camera and self-portrait mirror with the OtterBox 1936 though.
