If you’ve been waiting patiently for it, you’ll be happy to know that the Google Nexus One is now official on Vodafone UK, negating the need to import the Nexus One from somewhere else if you were looking to get hold of this phone in the UK. The difference from sales in the US is that the Nexus One will be offered through Google’s online portal, Vodafone’s stores, as well as the carrier’s own site. You’ll be able to get hold of the Nexus One for free if you agree to a 24-month contract of £35 per month or higher. If you decide to pre-order the phone now, the device will be shipped by May 5th, though it seems that there is a possibility that you might even be able to get it by April 30th. If you need help deciding whether to get this phone, check out our Nexus One review.

Add to myYahoo!By Andrew LiszewskiArchitect Gary Chang lives in a rather small apartment in Hong Kong, 330 square feet to be exact, but has definitely made the most of his situation. Using a cleverly designed series of sliding walls, his apartment can be transformed into a variety of different living areas from a kitchen, to a bathroom, [...]

You may love it or hate it, but the fact remains that Google Checkout is the payment option for the Android Market. But now it seems that there might be an alternative on its way in the form of PayPal. The company has apparently found a way to incorporate its payments system with Google’s Android and will soon be offered as a payment option in the Android Market. The service is expected to be ready in Q2 2010 (which is just around the corner) and will be supported in several countries including the US, Australia, Canada, France, UK, Italy and the Netherlands.

Having a large external hard drive is always a nice thing, but if you don’t have a fast connection to transfer your data to and from the drive, using it is going to be a tedious process. That’s probably why Samsung has officially announced a USB 3.0 version of its STORY range of external hard drives. The new STORY Station 3.0 is now available in capacities of 1TB or 2TB and will feature three energy saving modes: idle, sleep and suspend, allowing you to leave the drive on for extended periods of time without having to worry too much about the power draw. Thanks to the USB 3.0 connection, you’ll be able to enjoy much faster data transfer speeds, providing that your computer also sports a USB 3.0 connection. The STORY Station also comes standard with a 3-year warranty.

Add to myYahoo!By Andrew LiszewskiA few weeks ago Lifehacker posted a clever tip about using binder clips attached to the side of your desk to prevent unused cables from sliding off onto the floor. However, it required those cables to be threaded through the ‘handles’ of the binder clips, which was slightly inconvenient whenever you needed to [...]

While technical details aren’t available at the moment, but if you happen to be in South Korea shopping for a new fancy phone, it’s worth noting that Pantech has a new phone for said market, the Check Mate IM-S610K. It doesn’t seem to offer much in terms of smartphone features, but if you’re looking for a phone that looks good and can get the job done, why not check it out?

The Samsung Star S5230 isn’t exactly a new phone, but Samsung looks like it’s trying to prolong the shelf life of this phone with the announcement of two new editions of it in Germany, the red colored Samsung Star S5230 LaFleur and the white Samsung Star S5230 “Fan Package”, the latter made in conjunction with the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Both phones offer a 3-inch WQVGA display, accelerometer, Bluetooth, HTML browser, 3.2-megapixel camera and microSD card support. These two phones will be available in Germany from May and are priced at €245 ($326)
