The rumored Xbox 360 Slim is touted to be announced at E3 this year, where it will be smaller in size compared to the current behemoth while sporting a new black color scheme alongside Project Natal capability. It seems that there are also whispers of a couple of Xbox 360 Natal bundles, but we guess we will need to wait until June for an official word from the folks at Microsoft instead.

Weta Workshop, the same folks behind props and production design of Lord of the Rings, Avatar, and District 9, have come up with such an appendage that lets you move around as though you were some sort of animal or insect. Known as the Weta Legs, these help you walk, run or jump without losing your balance while maintaining a creature-like gait. These legs can also be incorporated within costumes and used to climb stairs. Of course, getting hold of such a pair might prove to be a pretty big hit to your bank account, since they retail for $945 a pair.

Not everybody will want to know the amount of electricity that their devices are using, but in case you’re the type of person who worries about the amount of energy being consumed, then you’ll want to check out the Sanwa 700-TP1052DW Power Strip. This power strip is able to let you know the total Watts that you’re using and even alert you when you’re reaching a critical level (1500W), even cutting off the power to prevent any risk. Something for your new home, perhaps?

Add to myYahoo! The folks at the University of Tokyo have come up with a conceptual controller that enables you to control a pointer on a phone screen without the need to touch the screen. This is a concept that lets you move a pointer around, handle a virtual keyboard, paint in 3D or zoom around a picture with relative ease. The camera is also able to sense the distance away from the lens, letting you tap towards it briefly instead of clicking on an actual touchscreen display.

The PS3 Remote Play feature will soon see action on Vaio notebooks according to the PlayStation UK site. What does Remote Play do? Well, it basically allows you to access content on your console from virtually anywhere worldwide, but there is a catch as Sony claims this will work only on upcoming Vaio notebooks, with no word on whether it will be backwards compatible.

The PS3 has gotten more power efficient with a brand new 40nm Cell processor, resulting in a 15% decrease in overall console power consumption when you compare it to the 120GB CECH-2000A PS3 Slim that currently runs on a 65-nm RSX. This more efficient redesign also makes way for a stealthier heat sink as well as power supply, coupled with a smaller cooling unit.
