Bayer Diabetes Care has just announced its latest DIDGET blood glucose monitoring system Stateside (for real this time after we had a couple of looks at it in the past), where it is truly a one-of-its-kind device that hooks up straight to a Nintendo DS or DS Lite, helping littles ones manage a lifelong disease in a fun manner. By tying it in with a portable gaming console, it will certainly help children build consistent testing habits and meeting personalized blood glucose target ranges. Points will be awarded to those who use it consistently, where these points can then be used to unlock new game levels and customize one's gaming experience. It will retail for $74.99 each. [Press Release]

Want to create your own portable Nintendo 64 gaming console, but can’t figure out how to do so? Well, a user called John Grayson has put up a good 20 videos that provide a step-by-step guide to turn your N64 into a portable console. The modded console uses two Canon BP-915 camcorder batteries to offer you about 3 hours of game time, a Sony PS screen, the N64 console motherboard, as well as the rumble pack, memory card and SuperPad 64 Plus controller. The best part is that it looks very good, and looks like something that you can show off with as well. Check out the video after the jump.

It seems like Facebook isn’t the only way to scam users using the iPad as bait. Now the folks over at Bitdefender have found a virus that tries to lure iPad users. A link to the virus arrives in the form of an unsolicited email, urging you to update your iTunes to get the “best performance, newer features and security”. When infected, your Windows PC will then be open to unauthorized access (which is something that you don’t want). So if you come across an email that seems to talk about weird stuff related to your iPad, you might want to think twice before clicking, and keep your antivirus updated. This virus doesn’t affect Mac users according to BitDefender’s statement.

The Tweet Sleeve that you see here is a modern amalgamation of both tech and fashion, where it will display moods of your Twitter stream directly on your garment itself. This is made possible by reading the algorithms which can decipher your “mood” or “emotions” successfully simply by scanning the text on your Twitter page. What do you think of this - will it catch on if it were to be included as a compulsory feature on future clothes?
