Xexoo not only indulges your senses with a gold iPod Shuffle, it also caters to those who want more bling in their iPod nanos and iPod Videos as well (not sure if the new iPod Classic has been given the Midas touch treatment yet though). Heck, instead of your standard black or white docking station, why not pick up Xexoo's matching gold docking stations while you're at it? Oh yeah, if your budget permits, do remember to include gold earphones and remote controls as well. After all, investing gurus have always mentioned that gold is a safe haven, so you can always collect a bunch of these as an insurance of sorts against the almighty dollar's plummeting value against other currencies.

Add to myYahoo!Remote control micro helicopters are cool, remote control micro spacemen are cooler. You know the drill, plug the spaceman into the transmitter for 20-30 minutes and get 7-10 minutes flight time. Range is about 30 feet and he comes in three different RF frequencies which means three people could fly three spacemen simultaneously for a total aerial mayhem. NexusGadgets...

Acer has just updated its Aspire and Ferrari laptops by releasing a trio of new models. The two Aspire laptops were designed in the Gemstone's vein, where the 7720G is an updated model of the 7720 while the 2920 targets students and business people with its lightweight chassis. As for the Ferrari update, the new Ferrari 1100 will feature the same red carbon fiber casing complete with the famous prancing horse logo, featuring a 12.1" display, an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-66 2.3GHz processor, and an integrated graphics card. Other than that, the remaining technical specifications are similar to the Aspire 2920, which means this is one of the slowest Ferrari laptops to be released ever. Shame, really, as I thought Acer would not sully the good name of everyone's favorite racing team by including entry-level specifications.

Toshiba has just announced the Gigashot A100F camcorder, making it the smallest "Full HD" camcorder in the world. It will feature a shock-mounted, 1.8" 100GB disk with 1/3" CMOS sensor 2 megapixel stills or 1,920 x 1,080 recordings at 60fps with 16bit/48kHz Dolby digital stereo audio at a 384kbps bit rate. This means you get approximately a dozen hours of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 formatted video of the highest quality, while standard mode will garner nearly double that amount at 23 hours. Other features include an SDHC memory card slot, a 3" LCD display, 10x optical zoom, HDMI and component out, and USB linkup. It measures a mere 78.1mm x 135.4mm x 79.0mm to lay claim to the title as the world's smallest "Full HD" camcorder with an integrated hard drive. The high end Gigashot A100F will ship from November onwards for $1,628 while at the lower end of the spectrum you can pick one up for $935.

QinetiQ of UK has come up with an unmanned maritime reconnaissance vehicle that shares roughly the same dimensions as a jet-ski. The purpose of this QinetiQ Sentry includes multiple military or security-based roles such as harbor patrol, battlefield reconnaissance, intruder investigation and even damage assessment. Imagine doing all this without risking the live of even a single sailor. Measuring up to 3.5m in length, the Sentry can zip about at a maximum speed of 50 knots for up to 6 hours before a recharge is required. It is operated via a simple PC-based console, or can be programmed to autonomously carry out pre-planned missions, depending on the purpose. Soon the battlefield will resemble robots doing all those stuff humans used to do, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Toshiba has just unleashed the Gigabeat T400 MP3 player that aims to take a crack at the market currently dominated by the iPod nano, and to a lesser extent, the Creative Zen. This 4GB MP3 player gives an initial impression of great audio and video quality, but the downside would be the lack of a memory expansion slot of any kind. Strangely enough, this US-bound version seems to be gimped as it lacks WiFi connectivity that's found in its Japanese counterpart. Other features include a 2.4" QVGA display, support for WMV, MP3, WMA, WMA DRM, WMA lossless, and WAV. It will retail for $120 a pop, which means you get a pretty good bang for your buck.

Sony has just rolled out a new Vaio L series notebook that can be hung from the wall just like one of those nifty large screen displays. This model you see here measures 22" diagonally across and sure looks good in any living room. The only downside would be the high entry cost, as we all know that Vaios aren't exactly the most affordable brand to gun for. If you think 22" isn't big enough to feed your senses, then you can always use a Vaio with DMB that can run on a Sony Bravia LCD display.
