So Apple has confirmed that OS X Mountain Lion will be released later today. For some Mac users, the decision as to whether they should upgrade from OS X Lion to OS X Mountain Lion is still one that they have yet to make. While it is a relatively inexpensive upgrade, we?re sure that many Mac users are comfortable with the way things are now. Well if you were thinking of popping down to your local Apple retail store to give OS X Mountain Lion a spin before deciding if you should upgrade, you might want to put that on hold for now.
The folks at 9to5 Mac have been tipped that due to some last minute issues with the equipment needed to image OS X Mountain Lion on Mac computers in the stores for demo, those hoping to try out OS X Mountain Lion on demo Mac computers will be out of luck. This by no means is delaying the actual launch, but rather the demo, so if you?re intent on upgrading your OS X today, you will still be able to do so.

With digital purchases of games becoming more frequent, we guess we?re not surprised to learn that collector?s edition of games could eventually become a reason to go digital as well. That being said, the folks at Joystiq were tipped off that the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, the Mists of Pandaria, could be getting a digital version of its collector?s edition release which is pretty much a tradition with every Blizzard game. Pictured above is the screenshot of the page (links to the page were not provided due to security reasons) which shows that users will have the option of purchasing a Digital Deluxe version of the game.
Unfortunately there is no word on what sort of features or perks the Digital Deluxe Edition will offer, or how greatly it will be from the physical copy, nor how much it will cost. Assuming this is not a mistake on Blizzard?s part, World of Warcraft gamers worried that physical copies of the Collector?s Edition might run out may now have a digital alternative.

If you?ve recently purchased the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro computers that was announced just last month and were planning to match it with Apple?s Thunderbolt Display, you might be interested to learn that Apple has made a small update to the device?s SKU and is reportedly shipping it now with a new Magsafe-to-Magsafe 2 adapter that will be compatible with Apple?s new computers. This was reported by the folks at 9to5 Mac who were quoted as saying:
?We?ve gotten word that Apple has slightly tweaked its Thunderbolt Display SKU, and these units have begun shipping to Apple Stores and Apple Official Resellers worldwide. The change was first noticed by our sources when Apple retired the Thunderbolt Display?s MC914LL/A part code and replaced it with MC914LL/B just a couple of days ago.?
Alternatively if you ordered a new Thunderbolt Display and it has yet to arrive at your home, and you discover it does not come with the adapter, you will able to purchase it via Apple?s website or at an Apple retail store for only $10. Not really a big deal but we?re sure it?s a convenience that new MacBook owners will probably be able to appreciate.

If you’ll be in London for the 2012 Olympics and you’ve got no clue about where to go, Microsoft has got a solution for you if you own an iPhone. Called Bing Get Me There, this app will help you go from where you are to where you want to be – in this case, the stadiums you’ll need to be at to catch certain events. The app lets you plan your journeys using Bing maps, the London Underground network, DLR, London buses and London Overground trains.
The app also features full tube maps and live service updates , live departures and status updates by tube station, nearest tube/strain stations (with map and walking directions), set up favorite journeys with “live tile” alerts on your homescreen, weekend service updates as well as offline access to tube maps. Even if you’re not using it to get to the Olympics, it’s still a useful app to have just to get around London. Download it from the Apple App Store for free.

Following in the footsteps of Twitter and Facebook, Foursquare has now gotten into the “Promoted” game. According to reports online, Foursquare now has “Promoted Updates” – its first paid product offering for merchants. Business owners are now able to send local updates i.e. specials for the day, or a picture promoting a new outdoor seating area to their “best customers” when they’re nearby. These best customers are those who check in frequently to that place or have Liked it before.
But unlike other services, these ads aren’t intrusive and only appear in the Explore tab, which isn’t such a bad thing. After all, regular customers definitely wouldn’t mind being informed about a deal they might have missed. At the moment Promoted Updates are only rolling out to a handful of large chains i.e. Gap, Old Navy, Hilton, JC Penney, Best Buy and Walgreens – but you can expect more to arrive in the future. What do you think of these Promoted Updates?

Those of you who have a sweet tooth would more or less love chocolates, and there are plenty of different kinds of chocolates for one to choose from. How about turning the phrase ?sweet memories? into a literal meaning? This is what Cocoagraph is all about, where the company will turn all of your favorite Instagram prints into confectionery that most of us know and love.
