Toshiba no longer remains an exclusive persona with their E-Waste Recycling Program, as it is now open to accept just about all kinds of spent imaging consumables, regardless of brand name. This piece of good news comes across after Toshiba celebrated an amazing 410% year-over-year increase in recycled imaging consumables as part of its ?Zero Waste to Landfill? program.

If you’re currently on the lookout for an Android-powered device and decide to pick one up from Amazon, then you will be pleased to know that the Internet retail giant will continue to give its backing to the Appstore for Android market strategy by throwing in new promotions that will let consumers receive $25 in application credits – as long as you decide to bring home selected Verizon Wireless smartphones and tablets, of course.

It has taken several months to hibernate, nay, getting tested in just about all directions under private beta mode, but we are pleased to announce that Storify is launched officially today. This site allows you and I to build and embed our very own storyline of tweets, YouTube clips, Flickr photos as well as different social media elements in a mish mash of media so that you will be able to tell a story that is woven through different elements, resulting in an extremely creative story. For those who have ever tried to do this manually, the case for ease and simplicity offered by Storify cannot be understated.
According to founder Burt Herman , ?We have so many real-time streams now, we?re all drowning. So the idea of Storify is to pick out the most important pieces, amplify them and give them context.?

The fact that Motorola is working on a device powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip (aka Kal-El) would not surprise me for a second. After all, the Tegra-2 powered Atrix (check our Atrix Review) is one of the most powerful Android device on the market, so a sequel of some sort is a given – especially because Motorola can leverage some of the code written earlier. The question is: where is the development at, and most importantly, is this the first image of the next-generation Motorola smartphone?

Leaked earlier by the NYTimes (the page has been removed, but is back for good), the “Groupon-like” service Facebook Deals is set to launch at midnight. Like its competitors Groupon and LivingSocial, this is a group-buying service that will offer deep discounts to buyers, under the condition that the transaction reaches a critical mass of users. Just like Groupon, Facebook will send deals via email. However, it also plans to make those appear in your news feeds. This is probably the boldest commercial use of the Facebook user feed to date.

It has recently been made public that Yahoo! has acquired a minor startup company named IntoNow. IntoNow are the creators of the iOS TV check-in app that launched just a few months ago. The IntoNow app, which recognizes the audio of the show you’re watching, identifies it, tags it and puts it up on your social networks for everyone to see what you’re listening to is like some sort of Foursquare ? but for TV.
While it isn’t clear what Yahoo! will be doing with IntoNow, in the press release it is mentioned that “The addition of IntoNow will enable Yahoo! to provide enhanced media experiences and video programming, bolstering its social engagement across the Yahoo! network and on all screens.” The folks over at PC World believe that with the power of IntoNow’s app, Yahoo! will be able to create a whole new platform for targeted advertising.
Imagine this: you see an ad for a particular pizza restaurant on TV, and because IntoNow knows what you’re watching, it can push a discount coupon or promo offer for that pizza place to your phone at that very moment. This form of advertising could prove to be pretty successful. What do you think? Check out IntoNow for free on the App Store.

With Facebook starting to dominate every aspect of the internet, it comes as no surprise when they implement new features to make life for their users much easier. If you use Facebook enough, chances are you’re part of a group that you actively participate in to discuss issues or your favorite topics. If you came across something interesting on the internet and you wanted to share it with your friends, you would have to copy the link, enter the group on Facebook, and paste the link in there.

An interesting car navigation device from Pioneer has just paid a visit to the FCC. Called the AppRadio SPH-DA01, it will feature car audio and navigation systems that integrate tightly with iOS devices. Called PAIS (Platform for Aggregation of Internet Services), the AppRadio will be able to hook up with an iOS device like your iPhone or iPad to share its internet connection, implement voice control, integrate GPS, and even support apps such as Pandora and Yelp.
We’ve already seen a Galaxy Tab being used as a car dashboard, so having an iOS device to power a navigation system isn’t exactly out of the question. While it hasn’t been explained how the GPS unit will navigate with the iOS device it will probably be through the use of Bluetooth or a USB connection. No word on pricing or a release date either, but expect to find out more in the coming weeks. And if the 01 in the model name is a sign of things to come, this definitely won’t be the last of Pioneer’s PAIS devices we’ll be seeing.
