iPod Shuffle

This little gadget is one of the coolest things that I have experienced in a long time (at least as far as consumer electronics go). Seeing it in person is definitely necessary, you just can't believe how small it is until you actually hold it in your hand:

I purchased the 512mb one for $99 for my girlfriend's birthday. She was carrying her portable CD walkman to work every morning and she needed to catch up with the times. A daily ride on the "T" into Boston each day is proof that many folks have already converted to the new "iPod" way of living. Anyway, she loves it -- the quality of the sound is great. I find it surprising how something so small can sound so good. It's like the same craze that started when Sony introduced the walkman.

If you haven't thought about getting one of these things, the $99 investment is totally worth it for this gadget.
