Infinity Blade 2 visuals are impressive [video]

If you own an iOS device and you’re into gaming, chances are you’ve played Infinity Blade on it. Well, we’ve all heard that the sequel to the game will be released on December 1st and recently, the creators of the game have released a behind the scenes video detailing the process that went into it. Judging by the demonstration video, Infinity Blade 2 looks as gorgeous as ever, with a heavy emphasis on the lighting effects that I have yet to see on another iOS game. Video in the full post…

Back in October we reported that Sony Pictures acquired the rights to make a movie out of the authorized biography of Steve Jobs, and there were speculations about the company getting Aaron Sorkin onboard to write the screenplay for the movie. According to the latest reports, the writer has been approached by Sony to write the screen play and he’s strongly considering it. Here’s what he had to say: “Sony has asked me to write the movie and it’s something I’m strongly considering. Right now I’m just in the thinking-about-it stages. … It’s a really big movie and it’s going to be a great movie no matter who writes it.”
For those of you not in the know, Sorkin is the screenplay writer behind critically acclaimed movies like The Social Network and Moneyball ? recent bio pics from Sony Pictures as well. No other information about the movie has been released, but we’ll find out soon enough ? assuming everything falls into place. What do you think of a Steve Jobs biopic? Too soon? Or are you already casting in your head who you want to play the role of Steve Jobs?

A couple of days ago we reported about Occupy Flash ? a group that wants to get rid of Flash from all web browsers. And now, it looks like they have an opposition in the form of another movement called “Occupy HTML”. But unlike Occupy Flash that wants to get rid of Flash (you can’t get rid of HTML5) they believe that HTML5 and Flash should coexist peacefully, or at least until Flash can be completely replaced by it. The Motorola DROID 4 has yet to be officially announced by Verizon, but it looks like the phone already has a release date. Thanks to a leaked internal document showing the release date of the phone, we’ll be seeing the Motorola DROID 4 in stores on December 8th. However it looks like the DROID 4 won’t be the only phone being released on that day because if the document turns out to be the real deal, we’ll be seeing the long awaited Samsung Galaxy Nexus put up for sale as well!
In addition to the release date of the phone, specs have been leaked as well. The DROID 4 will feature a 4″ Super AMOLED Advanced display, a full 5-row illuminated keyboard, RAZR styling, 4G LTE, Android 2.3.5, 1080p video recording, front facing camera, HDMI out, and MotoACTV syncing. Anybody planning on picking this phone over the Galaxy Nexus?

Gameloft makes some pretty good games for Android devices, but they’re not exactly the cheapest games to load up your phone with. However, if you’ve been holding out from purchasing some Gameloft games because they cost too much, we’ve got some good news for you. The games company will be giving away a free game for a two hour period over the next few days. Earlier today they gave away Dungeon Hunter 2, so there’s no telling which games they will be giving away next. It’s almost been a year since Gingerbread was officially released and you’d be amazed at the number of Android devices that don’t have it yet. Well, it’s good to know that we can cross one more off the list of “yet to receive Android 2.3″. The Samsung DROID Charge, one of Verizon’s first 4G LTE phones will be receiving the update next week. According to the folks at Droid-Life who were informed by Verizon, the carrier will be pushing out the Gingerbread update for the Samsung DROID Charge on November 29th. So for those of you who haven’t rooted your device and loaded it with a custom ROM, it’s time to rejoice. Then again, let’s hope it’s not a bug-ridden update because nobody likes those. DROID Charge users, keep an eye on that notification bar next week.
