CeBIT 2009 will be where Gigabyte Technology showcases its new 10" netbooks that are being prepped for a Q2 release this year. There will be three models on parade there - the M1028, the M1024 and the M1022. First off, the M1028 will come with a rotatable touchscreen panel powered by the Intel Atom N270 processor and 945GSE chipset. As for the M1024, this is but a thinner and lighter version of the M1028. Last but not least we have the M1022 that is whispered to be powered by the newer Intel Atom N280 processor. There is no word on whether rotatable touchscreen panels will be found in the M1024 and M1022 though, so stay tuned.

Deciphering sign language can be quite a tough task to the untrained eye, but that doesn't mean one should not keep in touch with a vocally-challenged person at all. While we have real world devices like this one from Krown Manufacturing, it isn't up to snuff when it comes to a flurry of "sentences" in sign language. Hence, the concept of a Sign Language Translator that comes in the form of a pendant with a built-in sensory camera to capture hand motions. Gestures will be translated into voice modulations for an impaired person to communicate more effectively. We wonder what will happen when you flip the bird to the Sign Language Translator though.

The AirCreation Tanarg Trike looks like something out of a science fiction movie, but it is actually the real deal - a vehicle that looks like a standard trike which is capable of taking to the skies when the need arises. We don't think it would be wise to try to take off in snarling traffic or drive off a cliff with this though, especially after you have dropped anywhere from $50,000 to a whopping $85,000 for this. Do you need a pilot's license for this? We don't know, but it sure as heck is one fun ride to own. This two-seater is built on a strong modular wire-mesh structure and relies on Rotax 912 or 582 silent engines to keep it up in the air.

It is interesting to note that the P3 has already been released in Korea for a few months now, followed by a UK launch with no word of a US rollout just yet. The P3 is also the recipient of a new firmware update to provide users with a more refined experience, where the most noticeable positive change would be video playback of up to 800 x 600 resolution natively. Not only that, the manufacturers have also thrown in SMI format support and a mosaic video browser that can be found on the S9. Performance is also touted to be given a boost of up to 30% with the firmware update, and this would clearly place it on par with other touchscreen portable media players. Now to urge the powers-that-be to bring in the P3 Stateside, pronto!

Take a look at this case mod and chances are you'll be filled with nostalgia, as the Mac Mini's innards have been transferred into this classic Apple Disk II drive, thanks to modder Charles Mangin. The 5.25" drive is perfect fodder when it comes to slot-loading DVDs, and when not in use, most people might actually mistake this for a piece of antique junk that is left in the corner to collect dust. Whenever the Mac Mini within is turned on, the activity LED will light up as an indication. What are some of the cooler Mac Mini case mods that you've come across so far? Maybe you would like to share those with us in the comments.

You know those tilting dolls that remain standing no matter what kind of kicks and punches you throw at them? Well, the same can be said for these Sound Egg speakers. This is but a concept design, and it comes with a playful means of orienting and stabilizing otherwise impossibly round speakers courtesy of designer Ilshat Garipov. We can just imagine bored interns flicking these with their fingers whenever they wait for the clock to hit lunchtime. Since these Sound Eggs are wireless, we're guessing Bluetooth technology has something to do with the audio streaming, so that means the Sound Eggs will come with built-in rechargeable batteries. Hopefully the last long enough for an all-nighter.

The iPhone has a pretty intuitive typing interface, but there are still some people who prefer the real thing when it comes to composing long emails, regardless of whether they're on the go or not. Why not pair up your iPhone with this Bluetooth-enabled keyboard instead? Some enterprising person managed to come up with a workaround to get both devices talking to each other, so we're keeping our eyes peeled on a public appearance in due time. It is beginning to feel like the Bluetooth Palm keyboard all over again.

You know you've made it as a celebrity chef when you have your own syndicated show, written a fair number of books and own a chain of successful restaurants while being mentioned alongside names like Wolfgang Puck and Bobby Chinn. Well, you can add one more thing to the already long list of accomplishments - a wind-up toy. That's exactly what chef Mario Batali decided to do in order to further boost his profile, and this wind-up toy actually features his likeness and (non-edible) spaghetti-flipping action. No idea who would actually fork out $10 for one of these puppies, but if the world is ready for USB Humping Dogs, surely they won't mind purchasing these?
