OCZ 6GB 1600MHz CL7 DDR3 OCZ3P1600LV6GK

In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests the performance of an top-speed triple-channel product for the Intel Core i7 platform. The OCZ 6GB 1600 MHz CL7-7-7-24 DDR3 memory kit OCZ3P1600LV6GK will be compared against several other products and benchmarked for bandwidth and gaming performance. Are the higher speeds worth the money, or can this memory kit overclock to their level? System memory is one of the most over-looked hardware components in computer systems, and with applications demanding greater memory overhead it is best to use as much memory as allowed. But not all memory is made the same; and even memory of the same speed can have different consumer targets.

Gaping Hole Halloween Costume Might Be A Few
Months Too Late But Its Still A Clever Idea

By Andrew LiszewskiWell to be more precise, this gaping hole Hallowe’en costume by Flickr user evanbooth was actually created back in 2006, making it over 2 years too late now. But his clever use of a portable DVD player LCD under the front of his shirt being fed a live video feed from a camera [...]

Windshield Wiper Sharpener

Windshield Wiper Sharpener

How often do you change your windshield wipers? In this day and age, it makes us wonder whether it is worth spending $29.99 on a product that supposedly prolongs the life of your windshield wiper blades as opposed to getting a new pair when the old one starts to go bad. DealExtreme is currently carrying these items, and while windshield wipers are not the most urgent things to replace in a vehicle, they're important to say the least despite the fact that it does not rain every single day although they'd come in pretty handy during the winter season. Do you think they're worth the effort and money?

Dell Mini 10 Is Gimped

Dell Mini 10 Is Gimped

If you were thinking of getting the recently released Dell Mini 10 netbook, you might want to hold your horses. After all, Dell will not allow you to upgrade its RAM to more than the 1GB they give you if you're going to run on Windows XP as per Microsoft licensing rules. This blows, but good thing there is this thing called manual upgrades, right? Dell Chief Blogger Lionel Menchaca wrote "Initially, all Mini 10s will come with 1GB fixed RAM (which means it will not be upgradable)." - no idea on when this will be corrected, but it is a serious blow to users who find the Dell Mini netbooks to be one of the better ones out there.

Shockproof Nurian X40 Electronic Dictionary

Shockproof Nurian X40 Electronic Dictionary

Hanuribiz has rolled out its Nurian X40 electronic dictionary that is touted to be shockproof, looking like a miniature version of the MacBook Air in the process. It will feature an updated translation function for you to dabble with 13 languages in authentic native-speaker voice. Features of the X40 include audio and video playback, an integrated FM radio, a text/image viewer and voice recording capability among others. Shockproof, eh? Guess that means it qualifies to be thrown across the room out of frustration when you can't seem to find the word that you're looking for...

New Motorola ROKR Leaked

New Motorola ROKR Leaked

Motorola aims to keep the ROKR flag flying with a bunch of newly leaked photos, and they don't look half bad after all. There is still no official name for the handset just yet, but it does seem to somewhat resemble the Motorola E10 Texel that was first caught in the wild back in the autumn of '07, but was never announced officially (and most probably dead and buried by now). Some speculate that this new Motorola handset could be dubbed the Motorola E11 or Motorola E12, but until the big M releases an official statement, these are stabs in the dark at best. Never mind the name, we just hope that Motorola is able to pull off this new ROKR handset with aplomb, touch sensitive display and all.

T-Mobile To Get Mystery Huawei Android Phone

T-Mobile To Get Mystery Huawei Android Phone

Looks like Huawei's mysterious Android-powered handset will be made available from T-Mobile in the third quarter of the year after all. This is pretty shocking news, since the recently concluded MWC saw a non-working prototype on display, so hopefully the final handset will not be a rush job that contains plenty of errors and bugs. Word has it that Huawei and T-Mobile have agreed to make this handset available to the masses come Q3 2009, but the lack of relevant Android-powered buttons is certainly disturbing to say the least. Ah well, perhaps the final version will see the relevant corrections made.

Microsoft Windows 7 Beta Update

Microsoft Windows 7 Beta Update

Hmm, Windows 7 isn't even out on an official basis yet and Microsoft has already released a beta update for it, while preparing a Service Pack 2 for Vista as well. The former's update can be downlaoded manually through Windows Update on February 24th, and according to Windows 7 manager Brandon LeBlanc, these five test updates will “allow us to test and verify our ability to deliver and manage the updating of Windows 7.” That means you won't get new features of fixes, but they'll just overwrite current system files with a similar version.
