Iomega launches Portable Hard Drives
Iomega's new Portable Hard Drive offers a new standard in data storage as these hardy host-powered peripherals feature Drop Shock technology that prevent data loss due to unexpected shocks and drops. Since this new line is bus-powered, you can do away with unwieldy power supplies on your travels. The dual-interface Portable Hard Drive is available in 80GB and 120GB configurations that retail for $149.95 and $199.95 respectively, and can be connected via USB 2.0 or FireWire. Each drive measures just 12.7mm thin and weighs just 170g, making them ideal candidates for your shirt pocket. The 2.5" hard drive inside delivers a speedy 5,400rpm performance and is compatible with both Mac and Windows platforms.

Such a long battery life translates to extended productivity without the hassle of looking for a power outlet. The Pegasus T12 is available in different configurations when launched on August 28, with the Celeron model and Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 model retailing for £649 and £749 respectively.

iRiver D25 comes with dictionaryThe iRiver D25 is a unique MP3 player as it looks more like a Nintendo DS Lite than anything else. Opening the clamshell will reveal a lovely 4.3" LCD screen that displays up to 260,000 colors. Features include a full QWERTY keyboard, navigation buttons, as well as function keys. This MP3 player also comes with a multi-lingual dictionary, a built-in FM radio, a voice recorder, some games, text-to-speech capabilities, and a text/photo viewer. The D25 is equipped with 1.3GB of flash memory, while the SD/MMC card slot makes allowance for expansion. Its built-in lithium battery offers up to 16 hours of linguistic fun. The iRiver D25 measures 5.3" x 3.7" x 0.8" and will be available in Korea next week for approximately $400.
