HTC Incredible S Now Available for Rs.28,900

Netflix is down

Although we are not sure when exactly Netflix went down, we have noticed that the web video service has not been operating normally for at least the past 3 hours, and probably more (as seen from San Francisco). The DVD processing capabilities don’t seem to be affected – although you can’t manage your queue now, but the streaming content is definitely not working. Netflix says that it is working as fast as possible to fix this issue. This is not the first time that this happens, but interestingly, some Netflix users are already complaining on Twitter that they are forced to “use Cable TV”.

Robotic octopus arm mimics the real one

Some researchers from Reading University are working together to create a robotic octopus that they hope will be used for underwater operations such as maintenance, marine salvage, and retrieval of objects like black-box recorders from crashed air craft. Right now the arms of the octopus are being worked on and progress has been going well. The researchers have managed to come up with arms that mimic an octopus’s arm ? a muscular structure with no skeletal system, which they lined with suckers to help the arm grab onto things. There’s still a long way to go before they’ve got a complete octopus robot, but from what they have so far, it looks pretty realistic although weak for a battery-powered octopus. Windows Phone 7 NoDo update notification

The long-awaited NoDo update for Windows Phone 7 from Microsoft is finally here. WinRumors has reported that the update has started rolling out as of today. The update brings copy and paste functionality to the phone, faster resume times for apps when resuming from sleep, an improved Marketplace Search, improvements to WiFi, Outlook, Messaging, Facebook, Camera, and Audio as well. Users can wait for the notification messages from their carriers or try plugging their phones into the Zune desktop client to check for updates. If you haven’t received the update yet, don’t fret, it might take a number of weeks to reach your device, due to the fact that Microsoft is taking a staggered approach with this release ? so not everybody will be getting the update at the same time. But if you do happen to be one of the lucky ones to get it early, do drop us a comment and let us know how the update process went.
