DIY Speaker Dolls

DIY Speaker Dolls

Awww, ain't this just an absolute cutie? Flickr pool member Fungus Amungus has some free time and technical know how on his hands, creating these chic speakers with Munny figures acting as enclosures. No idea on the audio quality that these Speaker Dolls are able to muster, but they sure as heck score maximum points in my book for enhancing a dreary looking desk.

Moshi Zefyr Laptop Cooler for Macs

Moshi Zefyr Laptop Cooler for Macs

The Moshi Zefyr Laptop Cooler is different from the rest as this one caters for MacBooks as well as the MacBook Air specifically. The company has taken the pains to study just which are the exact parts where Apple laptops dissipate heat, placing high-thermal conduction compounds in those areas in order to pull heat away effectively from the hot zone onto the Zefyr's aluminum heat sink, with a USB-powered fan helping it cool down. Some of the features include :-

Lodge Chair

Lodge Chair

The Lodge Chair plays on the idea that you will be sitting on your sound, as it comes with an iPod built right into it - with subwoofer and volume controls built into the side table. Guess this does away with all notions of a portable media player, unless you have a golf caddy who doesn't mind lugging around more than just golf clubs wherever you go. The Lodge Chair itself doesn't look like it will do any favors for your back, but on the bright side each purchase comes with an embedded iPod.

Chuwi RMVB Portable Media Player

Chuwi RMVB Portable Media Player

Chinese manufacturer Chuwi (must be a pretty hungry company) has plans to roll out a bunch of touch screen portable media players that might see a revolution where both touch screen displays and players are concerned. Chuwi's solution involves technology that "can greatly improve the resistance of the sensitivity of touch screen" and has nearly double the ordinary resistive touch screen sensitivity. Chuwi also lays claim that their new line will be able to go up against other portable media players in the market on equal ground, which could very well mean the inclusion of GPS navigation, WiFi connectivity and a built-in TV tuner at the very least. Hopefully the prices shown here won't be too high either, and we consumers look set to be the ultimate winner. Exciting times are indeed right up ahead.
