Watch out, Nicholas writing about cars, there’s bound to be errors! (No different from anything else, really.) It’s the McLaren MP4-12C, a £150,000 ($225,000) supercar that McLaren is actually positioning as “affordable.” I mean, an Xbox 360 Arcade SKU is “affordable,” maybe even a fancy gaming mouse when you consider what they do… Oh, I [...]

VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) is no great shakes in a wargadget these days — and a craft like the F-35B, with its short-take off and vertical-landing capabilities might be even less shocking — but jets that stop whatever they’re doing mid-air to just hover awhile? That’s another story entirely. The $83 million-plus, supersonic stealth [...]

With the World Cup just around the corner, you can expect these soccer ball remote controls to get a healthy spike in sales. Considering that tensions will be high and there will be plenty of shouting when your team fails to score, the fact that this remote control is padded might just be a good thing. It’s pre-programmed for many TV, VCR, satellite and DVD systems, and can be used from a distance up to 20 feet. $20 doesn’t seem like too much to pay to avoid your telly being smashed by a flying remote control, right?

It’s been slightly over 2-years since Nokia initially announced that Silverlight would be ported to Symbian, and now Microsoft has finally announced that the Beta of Silverlight for Symbian is available. Microsoft dubs Silverlight as a cross-browser, cross-platform implementation of the .NET Framework for building media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web on desktop computers. The current Beta allows you to run Silverlight applications and content on the Symbian S60 5th Edition browser, so that means touch screen Symbian devices. There’s still a way to go become everything is finalized, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction.

Add to myYahoo! After a silver colored HTC Desire was spotted, now it seems that a black colored HTC Desire is up for pre-order on Amazon France. The phone, which is going for EUR 502.94 ($680), seems to have a slightly different looking optical trackpad in the center, but aside from the looks, the trackpad should be same. Those of you who are in France, are you going to pre-order this phone? Specifications of the HTC Desire include:

We recently heard that Nintendo is trying to get its Nintendo DS gaming console into junior high schools in Japan, and now it seems that even McDonald’s is embracing Nintendo’s popular portable gaming console. It seems that the fast good giant is developing a Nintendo DS training program for its part-time employees, called eSmart. Considering the size of McDonalds, the ¥200,000,000 (approx. $2.2M USD) cost of development is probably insignificant. McDonalds is hoping that the software will reduce training time by half, considering that everybody in Japan is already familiar with the Nintendo DS. What other places will the Nintendo DS be used in next?
