You might have noticed the tag on recent tweets reading “from Danger” a short while ago, which shouldn’t be too big of an issue, except that tweets from a Sidekick will state “from Sidekick” at the end, not Danger. This has prompted many folks to speculate that there is some truth in the recurring Microsoft Pink/Phone rumors. Could Microsoft be coming up with its own top-secret phone that uses Danger’s technology? In case you weren’t familiar, Danger is responsible for giving us the Sidekick, and has been acquired by Microsoft some time ago. Could this device be running on Windows Mobile 7, and will it be announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month? It’s hard to pinpoint exact details, as it’s still all speculation at the moment, but it’s certainly something that you’d want to keep an eye on.

Boxee, the popular online video and TV streaming service has announced that it will be adding a payment system to its streaming platform. The system should be launched over the summer and will allow users one-click access to paid content, which will include TV shows, TV channels and movies. Users will be offered a either a pay-per-view or subscription based model. Of course, in the end, content is the key, and Boxee is busy courting content partners, hoping that they will be willing to make their content available to Boxee users, and the best part (for them) is that they’ll be allowed to package and price the content according to their preference. Boxee will be looking to make a small cut from each purchased item, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody. If you’re a current Boxee user, you don’t have to worry about shelling out money at the moment, as the company has stated that the paid content is entirely optional, and Boxee will remain a free service.

Add to myYahoo!Augmented Reality (AR) certainly has practical uses, but it’s more often than not, used for some good fun. Now a Swedish magazine called T-post has launched a site where you can wear a special t-shirt, and coupled with a webcam, you’ll be able to play an AR version of rock-paper-scissors with the computer. As can be seen from the video, there will be a computer generated hand extending from the center of your body. If you think a t-shirt is too troublesome, you can always print out the PDF on a piece of paper and still pull it off, but somehow that doesn’t seem as cool.

“Another game on the iPhone” isn’t much news, but when the game that’s being talked about is Final Fantasy, you’ll need to sit up and pay attention. For those of you who have played Final Fantasy before, you’ll know what we’re talking about; and if you haven’t played it before, you really should. The creators of the game, Square Enix, has a site proclaiming that Final Fantasy will be making it to the App Store soon, though there hasn’t been any official word of a release date or price point. From the screenshots, you can see that the game still looks old, as it is a rather old game, but the content should be just a good and satisfying. Do you use your iPhone as a gaming device, or is it just another iPod to you?
