One of the things that people love doing with Foursquare is checking in when they’re at home ? most of the time it ensures that they’ll at least be a mayor in one location on the map. However, it’s not always a good idea to do so, thanks to the wonders of the internet ? stalkers (and other people with malicious intentions) can use this information to their advantage. But it looks like they won’t be able to do it anymore.

HP might be done with producing anymore webOS devices after its final batch of TouchPad tablets, but that doesn’t mean that existing devices that have already been purchased are going to disappear. Like the legendary white HP TouchPad that went on sale across the Atlantic but not stateside. The folks over at Engadget managed to spot the white European HP TouchPad, the black TouchPad 4G for AT&T, and the Pre 3 4G for AT&T.
It’s a shame that these devices had to be canned before they could make it to the market ? oh well, for what it’s worth, this might be one of the last few times you’ll get to see these devices in action. At least until HP decides to change its mind and put them out again. Head over to the source link for more pictures and a video.

In addition to the 8-second boot up time that we previously mentioned before, Windows 8 is going to have a completely new boot experience. The days of staring at the POST/BIOS screen, watching the numbers move and cursors blinking, and watching the “Starting Windows” load screen will soon be behind us. Microsoft published a blog post explaining how they streamlined the whole process and made everything faster, in addition to some new details about the new booting experience.

It hasn’t even been a year since the release of the first Motorola Atrix, and it looks like Motorola already has a successor lined up to take its place. The folks over at BGR have just got their hands on some photographs of a phone that is said to be the Atrix 2, as well as some new details about it. According to them, the Atrix 2 will not be an LTE device ? but it will pack a dual-core processor (most likely to be a 1.2 or 1.5GHz TI OMAP), an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread and might be released sometime around thanksgiving on AT&T’s network.
Does the Atrix need an upgrade this soon? It doesn’t seem like it, but I guess those of you who were thinking about picking an Atrix anytime in the next few months could hold out for this phone if the rumors indeed turn out to be true. Check out more pictures of the phone at the source link.

When you first hear “Electronic Guitar Bag”, the first thing that comes to mind will probably be a guitar-shaped gig bag that people use to carry their electric guitars around. Well, ThinkGeek is here to destroy that notion with the launch of its new Electronic Guitar Bag. Firstly it’s not even a guitar-shaped bag, it comes in the form of a messenger bag, and you’ll have to try really hard to squeeze a guitar into one of these things (an Ukulele might work though).
What makes it so special is that it comes with an attached amp (with tone and volume knobs) and a playable guitar design. All users have to do is press a button on the guitar neck and strum across the image of the guitar and sound will emanate from the speakers (by the way, this guitar plays all major chords only). In addition to being a musical instrument, it is large enough for you to fit in a 17″ laptop and other necessities, so it plays its role as a regular bag as well. It is powered by four AAA batteries (not included) and can be yours for $49.99. Head over to ThinkGeek to check it out or purchase it.

Making international calls from Gmail might be cheap to do, but that doesn’t mean it’s free. And if you’re calling a lot of overseas numbers, you might find yourself running out of credit all the time ? which can be annoying, especially when you’re in the middle of an important conversation and you get cut off. Well, those issues can now be a thing of the past. No, Google didn’t make Google Voice international calls free (we wish) but it has made it a lot easier to reload your calling credit when it’s low.
Google Voice now has the ability to Auto-recharge your calling credit whenever it dips under $2. While this may lead to increased amount of spending due to you not realizing your credit is being automatically recharged, it ensures that you’ll always have credit to keep talking or to make calls so that you’ll never be caught off guard. Auto-recharge can be enabled after your first purchase of credit and can be changed or disabled at anytime. Just head over to your billing page to set it up.

Back in Januaray, we reported about the TankBot: a remote-controlled robot vehicle that is capable of moving through all sorts of terrain. It is even capable of finding its way through mazes thanks to its infrared sensors that lets it detect its environment and even the hand movements of people around it. But what’s cool about this device is that users will be able to download an app for their smartphones (currently iOS and Android only) to control the robot remotely. The TankBot comes with sound effects that let it growl, honk and even cry for help if it tips over. It has a retractable USB charger that ensures that you won’t have to deal with any missing chargers either.
