Wasn’t it just last month when Google introduced their Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system? Seems that the engineers over at the Internet search giant have been working overtime as we hear that Android 3.2 Honeycomb is already on its way, where this update is touted to roll out to current tablets including the Motorola XOOM in the coming weeks, even as spanking new 7″ models start to land in August. To get a better idea on what Android 3.2 Honeycomb will bring to the table, we will look at it after the jump.

If you logged in to your Dropbox account on Sunday, between 1.54pm PT and 5.46pm PT, you might not have noticed it but you could use any password to log into your account ? or any account for that matter. Dropbox has confirmed this afternoon that a programmer’s error caused a temporary security breach that allows any user account to be accessed with any password.
The error was due to a code update that “introduced a bug affecting our authentication mechanism”, according to the company. Fortunately Dropbox was alerted of the problem immediately, which they fixed as soon as they could. The company issued an apology on its official blog, saying that they will be implementing additional safeguards to prevent it from happening again. However, if you’re worried that your files were accessed or compromised by other people, you can contact them at support@dropbox.com.
This goes to show that even if you have a password combination that nobody can ever figure out without asking you, accounts can still be compromised. Ah, the wonders of cloud computing.

Google rolled out the audio/video chat functionality into their Talk application on the Android platform not too long ago under the version 1.3 guise, but it was available only on Gingerbread 2.3.4. This update delivered the similar voice and video chat capabilities to the Nexus S which you are able to access over in the desktop version of Google Talk. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities, as one might just use that instead of standard cellular voice plans, after all, with video chat you even get to see one’s facial expressions. T-Mobile might have been quaking in their boots at that idea, which could be why they have blocked smartphones from using Google Talk Video Chat over cellular data plans.

The Motorola DROID 3 is not available in its GSM iteration just yet, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t coming as Verizon Wireless is tipped to release the DROID 3 this coming July 7th, while we have also managed to spot several GLBenchmark 2.0 online results for the smartphone which might just whet your appetite to bring this puppy home. It must be said that with qHD resolution on the DROID 3, it will definitely be the better performer compared to QVGA resolution even when the score is the same – simply because to maintain a similar framerate with more pixels naturally requires additional graphical firepower.

Earlier this morning, we looked at the possibility of a black MacBook Air – but then it seems that a few hours can prove to be the vital difference between a rumor coming true or otherwise. Word has it that the MacBook Air will remain in its pristine silver color, although there is still some hope for that shade since new materials used to construct the updated MacBook Air doesn’t rule out a black shade – but there was no mention other than the standard shade of silver either, leaving it open to speculation to a certain degree.
As for the MacBook Air’s new price point, it seems that there will be a price cut which will drive the final sticker price down to $899, which is feasible since most of the newer computers and notebooks will be moving on to the Sandy Bridge platform, which would eliminate the need for a a dedicated NVIDIA chipset – hence driving down the price further.

Forget about the traditional fly swatter that squashes bugs into a flat, juicy bit. Here is the pneumatic Fly-Goodbye Bug Hunter which hails from Century Japan, as it goes about sucking all those pesky insects that you hate to have roaming around the home. It is extremely safe to use, and best of all is, it needs no batteries to work. Looking somewhat like a shotgun at first glance, the Bug Hunter will suck the insects when you press the trigger, and the front holds a capture tube that will leave the captured insect inside. Each Bug Hunter is accompanied by a magnifying glass and a trio of cartridges.

Leaks are extremely commonplace these days simply because there are so many ways to capture an image of a particular device or perhaps even the inventory system screenshot before a particular device is released. Today, we will look at the Acer Iconia Tab A100′s pricing, where it has appeared over at Walmart for $349 a pop. The sticker itself more or less gives the game away, where 349 clams will net you Tegra 2, 8GB of internal memory, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera that is accompanied by a 5-megapixel rear camera, and Android 3.0 Honeycomb as the operating system of choice. That’s definitely a huge plus point over the majority of the other 7″ tablets that run on the older Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

While Samsung’s legal team is busy fending off Apple’s lawsuits, the company has been busy releasing other computers as well. Liliputing reports that Samsung has confirmed the release of its upcoming NC215S solar-powered netbook in the US next month. The lightweight computer features a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 matte display, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N570 dual-core processor.
But what’s special about this netbook is its lid that is covered in solar cells. Apparently, every two hours of sunlight gives users an additional one hour of battery life. The netbook is touted to have a battery life of 14 hours ? under ideal conditions. Great for folks who need to spend all day out in the sun. Expect the NC215S to available in the week of July 3rd with a suggested retail price of $399. Any takers?

Just last week the HTC ChaCha was spotted at the FCC with approval for GSM 850, 1900, and WCDMA II and V bands: radios that suggested the phone was headed towards AT&T’s network. Recently, the folks over at Pocketnow.com managed to get their hands on a press shot of the phone, and it now features an AT&T logo, confirming its arrival on the carrier.
Compared to the original press shot of the HTC ChaCha, the phone has been redesigned slightly, with some buttons on the keyboard changed, the color on the two function buttons removed, and the Facebook button reshaped. The homescreen shows off smaller icons now, which means more icons can fit on screen, which is a good thing for a device with a display that’s only 2.6″.
No word on a release date or pricing yet, but the screen shot of the HTC calendar shows July 17th, which could be a possible hint. Anybody interested in picking up this phone when it drops?
