By Luke AndersonThere’s nothing quite like a product that barely does its primary function. Take this clock, that you can hardly read. All of the hours are ?coded? and can only be read properly when the minute hand passes over them. You can actually read the hours fairly easily without the minute hand, however, there [...]

Add to myYahoo!By Luke AndersonThere’s no arguing that the world has slowly begun looking for ?green? alternatives to everyday items. Most of us still don’t go too far out of our way to get everything made from natural or recycled components, but we still try to do our part when we can. Those that like to go [...]

It is now official, folks! Sony just announced its PSP-3000, offering a couple of revisions over the PSP-2000. Does it come with a better joystick? Nope. How about a built-in SSD? You can forget about that, along with dreams of a hard drive. The only two changes are a built-in microphone and an LCD panel that is touted to work “better outside with no glare”. Well, will we see the Phoenix Wright series being ported over to the PSP since you can now shout "Objection!" into the microphone? I don't think so, but this indicates that voice-based communications will play a role in the PSP-3000 in due time. No idea on pricing, but will you make an upgrade to this model if you already own a PSP?

Mitsubishi's latest ultra-slim LCD HDTV has an edge over the rest since it comes with support for the WHDI (Wireless High Definition), allowing you to pair up the HDTV with other compatible HDTV devices located in your home without the need to run pesky wires through and over the whole place. WHDI has a working range of over 100 feet, so you need not worry about not getting a signal unless you live in one of those palatial mansions of yore where the dining hall is as large as a football field. Don't you just love how wireless technology helps reduce the clutter in our homes?

Microsoft has resurrected the once fancied SideWinder line of peripherals with the X6 keyboard that will hit the markets this September. This keyboard comes with a number pad that can be placed on either left or right sides of the keyboard, depending on which is your dominant hand. Guess Microsoft has taken the cries of southpaws into consideration when developing the X6 as the result is as clear as day for all to see this time round. In addition, the X6 is also backlit for easier gaming in dark rooms, and can record up to 90 macros per game without leaving the game during macro recording. The SideWinder X6 keyboard will retail for $79.95 when available.

AT&T has made available the LG Invision handset that targets mobile users who love everything video in a cell phone. This is the third phone from AT&T to offer Mobile TV, but it edges out on the other two by virtue of being the smallest Mobile TV-capable handset - in the US, at least. The LG Invision measures less than 1.5" thick and will come with the following features :-

Sony has upped the ante yet again by announcing a new 160GB PS3 bundle which will be launched on October 31st. Hopefully this bundle won't come attached with a malevolent spirit of any kind considering the launch date. It will share the exact same specifications as the 80GB PS3, albeit with double the hard drive space and a 449 Euro price tag. Guess we'll see 250GB and 320GB models in due time, too.

Sony has just unveiled a new wireless keyboard peripheral that can be connected to the PlayStation 3 controller (also known as the SIXAXIS), helping folks who love in-game text messaging to get their message across at unprecedented speeds. Heck, it will also make PS3 browser navigation a whole lot easier, especially when you have a long URL to key in. The black-colored keyboard matches the SIXAXIS, and is clipped over the front to remain securely in place. Another feature of this keyboard is a touchpad mode that makes mouse input possible. This touchpad could be incorporated in future game development - bad news for consumers since they need to purchase yet another peripheral then. No idea on pricing, but the keyboard is tipped to ship in 8 configurations across Europe.
