Looking forward to the next generation Transformer tablet from ASUS? Well, you’re in luck because at the AsiaD event today Jonney Shih, Chairman of ASUS, dropped more hints about its upcoming Transformer tablet. The Transformer 2 is said to be an 8.3mm thin tablet with a 10″ display, NVIDIA’s quad-core processor, USB and mini-HDMI ports. And while he didn’t confirm it, it might be running on Ice Cream Sandwich as well. Judging by pictures of the device, it looks like it’s going to be one shiny, sexy device as well.
According to Jonney Shih, we’re going to have to wait for the Transformer 2′s formal announcement which should take place on November 9th. Until then, I guess we’ll just have to keep watching the previously released teaser video on repeat. How many of you are looking forward to the Transformer 2?

Remember the HTC Rezound (formerly known as the HTC Vigor/Incredible HD) that was spotted in the wild last month? Well some new renders of the phone has been spotted online in some case shots, giving us a clearer look at its design. It still doesn’t break away from the current “traditional” HTC design but it does have a feature that makes it stand out from other phones available ? sweet-looking red Android keys!
First spotted on the HTC Sensation XE, it looks like the red keys will be HTC’s way of labeling the device as Beats enabled. The HTC Rezound packs a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.3″ 720p HD display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front facing camera and 4G LTE connectivity. The phone is rumored to have a release date of November 10th and will probably be priced in the premium end of the spectrum.

Add to myYahoo!Amazon has done everything it can to subvert that traditional publishing industry. The first step in its devious plan was to wean readers off of the bookstores. Now it is prying writers free from their publishers. This Fall will see more than 120 books published by Amazon across a spectrum of genres. The humble Amazon [...]

The first phone to run on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, was officially launched today, and while it wasn’t mentioned who would be carrying the device at the presentation, it looks like the cat is out of the bag. If you head over to the Galaxy Nexus page on Samsung’s website to sign up your interest, you can see the list of carriers that will be selling the phone when it goes on sale.
There have been previous rumors about Verizon being the exclusive carrier for the phone, but now we know that there is an HSPA+ as well as an LTE version of the device the exclusivity might only be for a certain period. And judging by the Galaxy Nexus interest page, the following carriers have been listed: AT&T, Cellular South (aka C Spire), Metro PCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon. No prices have been mentioned yet, but the phone will go on sale in November so we won’t have to wait too long to find out. Anybody planning to pick up the Galaxy Nexus?

If you’ve got a child who’s not old enough to feed him/herself, you probably know how tiring it is trying to get them to finish their food. Well the folks over at ThinkGeek.com have come up with a new way of making meals more interesting for children: by disguising the spoon as a very cool looking spaceship. And of course we’re talking about the iconic Enterprise NCC-1701 from the original Star Trek TV series.

Add to myYahoo!AMD's 900 series chipsets preceded the introduction of their Bulldozer processors by several months. While this chipsets offers no additional functionality to non-Bulldozer CPUs, manufacturers jumped on the bandwagon anyway, perhaps because Bulldozer was expected a little sooner than it was actually released, and MSI was one of the first. Benchmark Reviews takes a look at how MSI's 990FX-GD80 motherboard works, and we even use a Bulldozer CPU.

Great news for Netflix users with Android devices: the company today launched a new update for its Android app that expands the support of the app. It is now available for users in Canada and Latin America for the first time. It also includes support for all Android 3.x Honeycomb tablets (previously it was only restricted to smartphones and Honeycomb on selected tabets).
In addition to expanding its reach, the latest version of Netflix now also supports alternate audio and subtitles: great for folks who don’t want to watch their shows and movies in English. The Netflix app is available for free on the Android Market now but you’ll need a Netflix account to make use of it (obviously).
