Sansa Rhapsody with DRM technology

Sansa Rhapsody with DRM technologyThe DRM market is already fragmented into so many camps, you might think that roping in Kofi Annan to solve the disputes and infighting would be a viable option. RealNetworks and SanDisk has aggravated the situation further by introducing an e200 player that is pre-loaded with pop music, featuring DRM technology from RealNetworks. Users of other music services will not be sidelined though, as the e200 will also come with Microsoft's PlaysForSure DRM. Existing e200 owners could most probably upgrade their firmware to make use of the new Rhapsody DRM. The e200 from RealNetworks and SanDisk will be available in time for the holiday season.

Store your DNA: forever

6503_DNA.jpg

As forever as air-cooled palaces of power, young and strong and... well, as forever as a couple of silver plastic bags can be (although at Hippyshopper we know that's rather a long time). The DNA Storage Kit lets you, for a paltry twenty pound note, store a copy of your internal formula for future reference. Your DNA is like a time capsule, it contains vital information about you and your ancestry that could benefit future generations. Since it's apparently as "painless as brushing your teeth" one imagines it uses a cheek swab, and you are enjoined to then keep your DNA in a safe place for the future. (Unlike [insert naughty celebrity reference here].) GT]

Reader's Pick - Pink Dyson Vacuum Cleaner

Readers%20pink%20dyson.JPG

I've ceased to be amazed by the gadgets and home appliances that have been produced in pink (or Hello Kitty for that matter). Here's a pink Dyson, not just an utterly superior vacuum cleaner (I have the animal one which works wonders to collect animal fuzz from tile, wood and carpet) but they are championing good causes too. Reader Rachel says she found this pink Dyson at Target; on purchase they'lll donate $40 to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
