For AT&T customers who are rocking to a Samsung Focus 1.4 smartphone, here is a little bit of good news to end your week on a decent note – it seems that Windows Phone 7.5 updates will be rolling out for said smartphone, while the same update is also in the works for those who are using the Samsung Omnia 7 all the way across the pond – in Spain, specifically, for Telefonica subscribers. It seems that the iPhone 4S is still a hot ticket item – but then again, that is to be expected with each new iPhone release, with US carriers not being able to obtain enough units to go around – at least, that is what The Wall Street Journal reports. It seems that potential iPhone customers are still not able to bring home the “best iPhone yet”, where majority of the carriers in the US still point toward shipping dates of between 1 to 3 weeks. It goes without saying that such strong demand is obviously preceded by record breaking sales figures of the iPhone 4S, being Apple?s fastest-selling product to date – imagine that, product, and not just phone. It seems that the recently released Kindle Fire from Amazon has had some Wi-Fi issues – according to complaints made over at Amazon’s support forums. Some of the owners do report spotty connectivity (basically that means a connection that drops and gets back with the program on and off in a random manner), disconnections, or even being unable to hook up to a perfectly legitimate Wi-Fi hotspot in the first place. It can’t get more official than this: Kojima himself (the MGS creator) has told PlayStation Magazine that Metal Gear Solid 5 is in the works. I know, I know – Solid Snake died in Metal Gear Solid 4, so what the… ? Well, we know that Hideo Kojima wanted to conclude the Metal Gear series, but I bet that Konami was just not ready to see the golden goose go. After going back in the past with Snake Eater and Peace Walker, it looks like (Solid) Snake -or one of his clones- may be back in action.
If you have not played Metal Gear (what?!), or have missed one episode, Konami has just released the Metal Gear Solid HD collection that includes Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
