While we usually don’t pay too much attention to phone renders that are spotted in video clips ? most of the time they are prototypes and inaccurate representations of the final devices unless they’ve been announced before. Well, a render of an unannounced Nokia Windows Phone device was recently spotted in an official Nokia video by the folks over at MyNokiaBlog.com. The phone looked sleek and bore a slight resemblance to the Lumia 800, except that this one featured more curves.
What’s interesting about the video is that it was suddenly made private not too long after it was reported ? fortunately it wasn’t before some screenshots of the phone were taken. At the moment it could be anybody’s guess what this device will be, and there’s no guarantee that the phone will even see the light of day, but if it ever makes an appearance in the future, but this could probably be the public’s first glimpse of the device. What do you think of the phone’s design?

Despite Nokia’s strong commitment to Windows Phone, the company is refusing to let Symbian die. According to a blurry cam photograph that surfaced recently, it looks like Nokia has a lot of plans for its Symbian devices. The photograph shows a future road map for the Symbian operating system, and apparently the next two versions will be called Symbian Carla and Symbian Donna. If the picture turns out to be the real deal, this will probably be the first time that the updates have been mentioned.
In addition to the names of the updates, we have some poorly translated details about the updates as well. Symbian Carla is said to feature version 8.0 of the Browser, Dolby Surround Sound, NFC, and “Best Widgets”. Symbian Donna on the other hand is said to be on “exclusive dual-core equipment”.
Carla is supposedly scheduled for a late 2012/early 2013 release and will run on higher-end Symbian phones. Symbian Donna is also said to be exclusive to dual-core devices and will probably be the last of the Symbian updates.

While there’s no denying how important it is to protect your electronics with carry cases and bags, they’re not the most interesting accessories to talk about. Well it seems like Sony thinks otherwise, as the company has released a video clip on YouTube giving a detailed look at the official carrying case for the PlayStation Vita. The video clocks in at close to 8 minutes long, and is in Japanese, but you don’t really need to understand what the man is saying to know what he’s talking about.

The Cadence Watch Company recently brought Chris Thompson, the designer of the Math Clock into the brand as Creative Director, and they’ve teamed up to create a new watch that will no doubt please math geeks worldwide. Called the Radian Watch, it eschews almost all the conventional features of a watch and replaces the traditional numbers with equations instead.
“The Radian Watch combines the unit circle with the 12 hour dial. I hope you already know how to tell time, so we stuck 0 at the 3 o’clock position like it belongs and the radians count up counter clockwise. I called out the angle measurements at each of the hour positions and stuck the eighths in there too.
In the background is the subtle Archimedean spiral, because it’s looks cool and graphs the equation r = a + b?.” ? Christopher Thompson.
If you know how to read the time at once glance, this watch is probably for you. No prices or release dates have been mentioned, but Cadence will be giving away one Radian Watch when it goes on sale. Find out more.
