Analyst reports that iPhone orders have been
reduced in anticipation of next-gen iPhone

Apple?s next-gen iPhone is expected to roll out possibly in the later part of 2012, assuming that it will now be following the same timetable as the iPhone 4S which was released last year. While the specs of the phone are pretty much up in the air at the moment, it seems that more proof of a next-gen iPhone launch later this year has started to emerge. According to analyst Shawn Wu of Sterne Agee, he has written in a note to investors that after checking with suppliers, it seems that Apple has reduced iPhone orders between 20 to 25% compared to the 35.1 million units the company had shipped in the March quarter.

He has stated that this was by no means an indication of waning interest in the iPhone, but rather it is due to the upcoming sixth generation iPhone which would most likely see a refresh in September/October. The reduction in orders was done by Apple to help manage their inventory to avoid being overburdened with excess inventory once their next-gen iPhone has been announced. Granted it?s pretty much a given that Apple refreshes their products on a yearly basis, but for those still hoping against hope that the iPhone could be launched at WWDC this year, assuming Wu?s predictions and sources are accurate, you guys could be in for a disappointment.

As much as some of you guys would love to tweet about everything and anything every other minute in the day, we?re sure that other commitments such as work and study and life in general is keeping you busy. However if you find yourself too busy to the point where checking your Twitter for updates is out of the question, Twitter has announced a new feature whereby they will deliver users a weekly email digest on the tweets that the website thinks they might be most interested in.

So how will Twitter determine which tweets are the most interesting to you? According to Twitter spokesman Robert Weeks, the tweets will be by the ?people you?re connected to on Twitter are engaging with the most.? This new feature will be rolled out over the next few weeks, so if you?re too busy to check your Twitter often, be sure to check your emails for your weekly Twitter highlights! Twitter for Android updated with bug fixes

Android users if you happen to be the sort of person to tweets a lot, you might be interested to hear that Twitter for Android has recently been updated. So what sort of updates are we looking at here? The update is expected to address some minor bugs fixes along with some pretty big ones, not to mention fixing some bugs for those still running on Android 2.0/2.1 Eclair devices.

HTC Desire C budget Android 4.0 smartphone

If a budget Android phone running on the latest build of Android sounds like the just the device you?ve been waiting for, HTC has officially announced the HTC Desire C. The handset is expected to be made available in Europe sometime later this month and will retail for a somewhat affordable ?200 (~$256) SIM free and will be available in a range of different colors. No word if the device will be arriving stateside, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled to be sure to check back with us for more updates! So what will you be getting for your money?

Like we said, the HTC Desire C has been designed to be a budget device, so don?t expect it to feature hardware specs that will blow you away. However if you?re more concerned about having the Android 4.0 experience and not so much about its hardware specs, then read on. The handset is expected to pack a 600MHz processor under its hood, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 3.5? 480×320 display, a 5MP rear-facing camera and will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Windows 8 Pro upgrade offer to cost $14.99

A few days ago, we reported that Microsoft could be offering their Windows 7 users the chance to upgrade to Windows 8 come 2nd of June 2012. As the upgrade will be that to Windows 8 Pro, the upgrade will not be a free one and will come with a small upgrade fee. Unfortunately at the time of reporting, it was not mentioned as to how much that upgrade would cost but thanks to Paul Thurrott, his sources have informed him that Windows 7 users looking to make the upgrade to Windows 8 might only have to pay a mere $14.99 for that opportunity! Will this really be the cost of the upgrade? Paul Thurrott has had a pretty good track record so far when it comes to reporting Windows-related rumors, but as with all rumors, erring on the side of caution and skepticism would be best. Error 3006 bug discovered in Diablo 3, possibly
game breaking

diablo-3 Heads up Diablo 3 players! The game was officially launched several hours ago but it looks like players have already stumbled across a possible game breaking bug. Based on the reports, it seems that players who equip their Templar mercenary characters with a shield will see an ?Error 3006? message which will boot them out of the game. In some instances it has proven to be so severe that attempts to login back to the servers were met with failure.

Some players have speculated that the bug could be related to the Demon Hunter class, while others are saying that in general players should just avoid equipping their Templars with shields until they have accepted him as their follower via the user interface pop-up. There are currently a couple of threads on the Battle.net forums regarding this issue, so if you?ve yet to play the game, you might want to read up on the reports (here and here) first to avoid ruining your Diablo 3 experience! Blizzard has yet to release an update to address the issue so in the mean time, avoid equipping the Templar with a shield just to play it safe.
