The Letcool handheld emulator here looks more or less like half a Nintendo DS Lite - with its top display shaved off for some reason. This unique handheld console will be able to handle GBA, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Game Boy ROMs, while future updates will also include additional support - hopefully the developer will stick to their word. Apart from that, this Letcool device can also double up as a portable media player, handling 8 different audio formats and 10 video formats. Features include TV-out, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, a digital camera and a battery life that lasts for 6 hours, all for $70. That's pretty poor battery life come to think of it - best to stick to your DSi or PSP if you love portable gaming.

Coffee tables can be as simple as the ones you pick up from Ikea, or they can be extremely high tech as seen in the form of the Integrated Technology Coffee Table. This concept from designer Joseph Reed is fitted with USB and serial ports, electrical outlets and an iPod dock to boot. Hmmm, do you dock the iPod just to charge it, or does it boast internal speakers as well so that audio can be played back right there and then for instant living room entertainment for your guests? No word on pricing, but it has upbeat white enamel and orange translucent acrylic colors to spruce up your home.

Japanese scientists could very well have toasted champagne among each other as they celebrated the successful deployment of their solar sail known as Ikaros. This 200-sq-m (2,100-sq-ft) membrane has been attached to a small disc-shaped spacecraft which was sent to orbit last month via a rocket. Ikaros will be a case study in using sunlight as a simple and efficient means of propulsion, so hopefully it has enough energy reserves to escape from large shadows whenever it travels behind the dark side of some huge planet like Jupiter. If proven successful, this ought to confirm itself to be the primary technique for moving spacecraft around the Solar System without the need for chemical fuels. Looks as though it is something from Count Dooku's space hangar though.

The CHOBi CAM that we looked at earlier this year has now gotten an upgrade - it is waterproof, without losing its positon as the smallest full HD video-capable camcorder in the world. The new and improved CHOBi CAM is capable of working up to 20 meters underwater thanks to its IP68 rating, so make sure you know how deep you have dived unless you don't mind losing those precious digital memories due to seepage in its waterproof case from the pressure. The new CHOBi CAM sports a microSD/microSDHC memory card slot that does not limit you to just a preset amount of internal memory, and plays nice with both Windows and Mac platforms.

Word is going around that Apple is planning to launch a new app tomorrow, one that will offer customers access to the company's online store and iPhone pre-ordering, not to mention the ability to book Genius Bar appointments at brick-and-mortar retail stores. Word of such an iPhone application has been going around for some time now, but hopefully this time we'll be able to finally see the app appear in the App Store. Would you like to shop for Apple devices directly from your iPhone/iPad?

You've probably heard of a tablet device from Aigo before, and now the company has unveiled a few additional devices in its AigoPad series of devices, five of them to be exact. These tablets will vary in size, and be offered in sizes such as 4-inches, 5-inches and 7-inches, and should be arriving this July. Unfortunately technical details aren't available just yet, but hopefully it’ll pack some juicy specifications.
