Marks and Spencer of the UK has just released a new line of interactive blazer and winter coats for students of both genders as they gear up to begin a new school year. The Marks and Spencer 2008 Back to School collection targets the tech savvy generation with interactive iPod clothing, featuring a five function keypad controller that is specially sewn into the lapel area of the inside lining, allowing the wearer to control the iPod discreetly without pulling the portable media player out from its hiding place. These blazers also come with lapel loops to keep those earphone wires hidden if you're still one of the many who rely on wired headsets. The blazer will retail from £25 to £30 while the winter coat is more expensive at £35 to £40.

Word on the street has it that MacBook Air 2.0 will come with a speed clock boost that could hit 2.0GHz based on an Intel Penryn design, but that would also mean an increase in power which could see Apple switch to a 60-watt power supply instead of the current 45-watt unit. It is also whispered that the revised MacBook Air will come with a 120GB hard drive along with an option to upgrade that to 160GB if you happen to have spare dosh lying around. Those with more than enough cash in their bank accounts can opt for the SSD version though. Interesting times are definitely ahead of us, but are you (and your bank account) ready to catch the next wave of Apple releases?

Logitech have announced that it will be acquire Ultimate Ears for $34 million in cash, and the acquisition is expected to close in August. Ultimate Ears are the long-established leaders in custom in-ear monitors, which are popular amongst on-stage professional musicians. Said acquisition will allow Logitech to expand its portfolio of digital audio products, which can only be good for consumers. It?ll be quite interesting to see the fruits of this acquisition.

Always hungry at your PC, but too lazy to go to the kitchen? Well, the CrazyPC 5.25 Bay Toaster sure is crazy enough to work. It fits on a standard 5.25 drive bay, and comes with windows software for adjusting the heat and time (a Mac OS version is supposed to be coming soon). It?s supposed to be able to toast bread in just minutes, though you?ll have to source for bread yourself, and will use a USB port and 4-pin molex power connector. If you?re worried about crumbs in your computer, they?ve thought of everything, by including a crumb tray, making it easy to get the crumbs out.

While everybody is getting comfortable with using Skype on their computers as an alternative to the conventional phone, the fact that the computer needs to be turned on will always be a source of irritation. Intel has just come up with a nifty new component which allows a computer to go to sleep, and ?wake up? whenever there is an incoming call, which would be a great way to save on electricity bills. It will even be smart enough to turn on the microphone and speakers to alert the users, and connect the call. Time to trash your standard phone? Maybe, but you might want to hang on to it for a while more, for nostalgia.

Even Sony Vaios are no longer exempt from the scourge of design piracy as evident by the Chang Jiang A998 cell phone. Strangely enough, it has cloned the wrong device with the right name, which explains the Vaio-lookalike word emblazoned across the surface of this clamshell. Features are pretty ordinary as you can see below.

Add to myYahoo!I don't think anyone will deny that Apple has a runaway hit on its hands with the App Store. With over 60 million applications downloaded in the first month of the service, the App Store could prove to be as popular as Apple's music store in the future. A ...
