With the chilly winter looming, it makes sense to prepare for the season, so why not update your winter clothing range with Aevex Gloves instead of normal woolen ones? What makes the Aevex gloves different is the ability to store energy in its lithium-polymer batteries, delivering warmth over a 6 hour period. Interestingly enough, due to the way the textile functions, the gloves will only allocate heat as and when required in order to conserve energy. They won't come cheap though, as the Mountain Hardwear Red Savina and Outdoor Research PrimoVolta will retail for $300 and $260, respectively. Of course, you can still use these once the batteries are exhausted, but your fingers won't be that nice and warm. Better bring a spare pair so that you can remain comfortable and cosy while charging the Aevex gloves.

Quell your curiosity on what the Sirius SUB-X2 boombox looks like with this leaked image above - it clearly resembles the SUB-X1 boombox, front-panel headphone jack, auxiliary input and all, but do expect certain audio refinements to come with the successor. There is no information concerning the features on the Sirius SUB-X2 boombox, but chances are it should retail for approximately $100 or so.

Where else but Abilene Christian University are you able to get either a free iPhone 3G or iPod touch when you enrol for your freshman year? So far 650 first year students chose the former, while 300 decided on the latter (either they don't know what the iPhone 3G is all about, or they already have one). Perfect for parents to keep in touch with their kid who grew up in a blink of an eye. Of course, that would mean having mom and dad bail you out with your monthly call charges as well, in addition to your hefty tuition fees. Shame on you!

Maybe Asus should just change their company name to Eee - the Taiwanese corporation has just announced that it will be introducing a new motherboard under the Eee family sometime in Q1 2009. Let's see, we have the Eee PC, the Eee Box, the Eee Top, and now the Eee motherboard? Sheesh! The naming convention was pretty cute and catchy at first, but I think this is just overkill!

Folks living in the Czech Republic won't miss out on netbook action thanks to Mivvy, a homegrown company that has already sold the MSI Wind clone, Mivvy M310. This time round, they are releasing a similar spec L310, although the external case is different. Guess you can memorize a standard netbook configuration by now, but here's a refresher :-

For starters, it is currently the undisputed champion when it comes to the slimmest waterproof phone in the world, but other than that, do expect many other features found on it to be the same as similar handsets. Dig the slim form factor!

Every year when Breast Cancer Awareness month hits, you'll see many pink products hit the streets, and it isn't any different this year. Toshiba Canada has teamed up with Best Buy Canada to release a pink 13.3" Portege laptop, where $40 from the $799 price point will be handed over to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. I know that times are hard, but surely forking out a little bit extra for a good deed is not too much to ask? This Portege is an entry level laptop that features the following :-

Here's a racing simulator for those who can't afford a nice sports car (as $4,600 can get you a decent second hand jalopy without the works). The Multidrive RS racing simulator lets you zoom down famous racing tracks around the world without worrying about injuries or speeding tickets, and thanks to the integrated 5.1 audio system, realism isn't too far away from one of the list of features. You also get a 32" high definition display, pressurized pedals for realistic brake mechanics and versions that work with PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 configurations.

Robo-Q holds the distinction of being the smallest two-legged robot in the world, and it is even able to kick a football - scaled down, of course. On display at Robo Japan 2008 (where else), this micro robot will come in a quartet of different colors and will retail for approximately £21 in Japan next February before it hits Europe later. Guess getting 22 of these will allow you to organize a robotic soccer game.

The PSP will be receiving a v5.00 update, while the PS3 will feature a v2.50 update. Nothing major or groundbreaking in either updates, but they do represent small steps forward. The PSP v5.00 will include the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB, allowing you to access the PlayStation Store from your PSP directly without having to hook up via the PS3. As for the PS3 v2.50 update, you will find integrated support for the PS3 Official Bluetooth Headset, activation of High-Quality (HQ) mode for clear and wide-band online voice chat, and an on-screen indicator that depicts current battery life, volume level and use of HQ mode. PlayStation Trophies has also been improved in terms of its interface, making it easier to share and update your trophies with your buddies. Other minor improvements include fried status, scene search for video, redeem codes option for the PlayStation Store, background downloading support, in-game screenshots and power save settings.
