Keyless Locking Mailbox

Keyless Locking MailboxWhile many of us have invested in different types of software and hardware to ensure our identities online are kept safe from the nefarious hands of hackers and phishers, we tend to be rather lax in the real world where breaking into our own mailbox is but a simple thing to do. The Keyless Locking Mailbox ensures that oversight does not happen, featuring an angled slot for the mailman to slot in your mail, but making it unable to retrieve mail unless a 4-digit PIN code has been entered into the touchpad in order to unlock the mailbox. At $299 a pop, you can either choose from white or black colors or keep a large, mean-looking dog for the next 10 years instead.

Fujitsu Fast IC monitoring system

Fujitsu Fast IC monitoring system

Fujitsu of Japan will be unveiling the Fast IC remote monitoring system when May 18 rolls around. This system features WiFi connectivity that provides a network between isolated on-site staff and monitoring personnel at central command, ensuring everyone is kept in the loop at all times. Fujitsu will be offering specialized hardware like laptops, digital cameras, construction site helmets with video cameras, and bone conduction headsets to interested parties. Chances are Fujitsu will improve in versatility and effectiveness over time while increasing productivity in the organization as a whole. Sounds pretty good as you get to relay information to base, transmit evidence on routine maintenance, or even act as a support for a patrol guard. Slackers at the workplace had better watch their back though.

SanDisk and Microsoft cozy up

SanDisk and Microsoft cozy upSanDisk will ditch the U3 smart drive platform in favor of its new love, Microsoft. This new partnership will see the first fruits of their union in the second half of next year, featuring a combination of software and hardware solutions on both removable flash memory cards and SanDisk Cruzer USB flash drives. This new smart flash drive platform enable users to bring their personal computing environment wherever they go, ranging from a familiar user interface, application, and data on a single flash drive. You no longer need worry about leaving personal information behind when using public computers since the information within is encrypted. While the computing environment might look the same as that at home, I'm still more comfortable with the specifications on my own machine than someone else's. You know, it's like an old lover thing.

Teclast T39 come with 16GB flash memory

Teclast T39 come with 16GB flash memory

Teclast from China achieved a first when they released the T39, making it the pioneer when it comes to the world of 16GB flash-based portable media players. Features of the Teclast T39 include a 2.6" touchscreen display, support for both audio and video files, an integrated FM radio tuner and recorder, and a couple of elementary games to keep you distracted during those long waits for a bus. Battery life stands at a purported 40 hours, but that's most probably meant for audio playback only. I'm not too sure whether the user interface has been refined or not since most products from China look good but are lacking in substance.

Water Mortar for some wet and wild fun

Water Mortar for some wet and wild funWith summer just around the corner, it only makes sense to cool yourself down with some water. The Water Mortar makes that fun, being a shoulder-mounted water balloon lobber that comes with a century of mini water balloons that are filled and then fired at will. Boasting an effective range of fifteen to twenty feet, it is obviously more accurate at hitting the target from that distance compared to a throw. All you need to do is pop in your balloon into a spring-loaded compartment, cock the Water Mortar, and fire. The Water Mortar retails for £19.95.

Tripping with i-Lit TwinSpin speakers

Tripping with i-Lit TwinSpin speakersAudioCubes is carrying the Toyo i-Lit TwinSpin speakers that look much better than it sounds. After all, you don't really expect too much from a mere 1-watt channel per speaker, do you? Still, the TwinSpin speakers are purchased mainly for their aesthetic purposes, featuring a wild pattern of LED colors that can pulsate to the beat of the current track. Unfortunately, the price to pay for such a blatant show of psychedelic lighting stands at $69 for a pair. Great for those lonely Saturday nights when you're at home trying to recreate the "club" look in your room.

Rocking experience for couch potatoes

Rocking experience for couch potatoes

Most subwoofers are pretty large in nature, and they certainly look out of place in a small apartment. For those who prefer the minimalist Zen look, Soundmatters' SUBstage 200 Stealth Subwoofer fits the bill since it was specially designed to be tucked under the couch, featuring deep, resonant bass response down to 32Hz thanks to an on-board 200-watt Class D amplifier crammed into a cabinet that's no bigger than a shoe box.
