We all know that hobbies are something you don't mind sacrificing some money for since you get so much more out of it, but asking an avid audiophile to drop $50,250 for an amp might even stretch the envelope. Yes, this Hovland Stratos retails for that insane amount since it is some sort of super mono block power amp. According to the product page, the Stratos is the culmination of 20 years of research, bringing you the perfect balance of power, poise, and precision. What you get for that kind of money is 400W of power split into 8 ohms, 625W into 4 ohms, and 800W into 2 ohms. Since you've already dropped that insane amount of cash for the Stratos, you might as well hire a butler to carry all 90lbs of it to your living room.

POPaPUTT Golf for some laughs Golfing is a very precise sport, and even something as trivial as a centimeter can make a whole world of difference. Some golfers, in their attempt to lower their scores, might even resort to underhanded tactics such as the remote control golf ball. Here is yet another prank device called the POPaPUTT Golf. This device will push any ball that falls into the hole, thanks to a spring loaded mechanism. Those who are pretty skilled at covert operations can lay these all over the course prior to the appointed time for some well-meaning laughs. Of course, I wouldn't recommend using this any time at all, unless you're so sure you know your opponent extremely well that he/she can take the occassional joke. Your opponent might just end up driving his 9-iron up where the sun don't shine. If you're willing to take that risk, be prepared to fork out $18 for each POPaPUTT.

Just when you thought the Sonicum speakers were pretty unique in design, the Audio-Technica AT-DSP190 Columino Digital Powered Speakers ambles along to make you even more confused. Integrated blue LED lights at the bottom do nothing other than add to the aesthetic value, and it looks really good when you've turned off all the lights and put on some chillout music on your computer. Features include 30cm anti-magnetic reflex-type speakers and a digital amplifier when pumping out your favorite tunes. Each pair of Columinos will set you back by $200 and comes in black or white colors. I don't know about you, but they somewhat remind me of a weird bowling pin design.

Sanyo unveils Xacti CG65

Sanyo recently presented the Xacti CG65 digital video camcorder in a rather muted manner, and the CG65 nothing much to offer the consumers other than H.264 support and 18MB of internal memory just in case you run out of storage space. Come on, Sanyo, what can we store on 18MB these days anyway? It is hardly enough space to double up as an emergency buffer. Additional features include a 6 megapixel camera and VGA video recording at 30fps. The only saving grace would be the wide array of colors it comes in, but that alone won't make up spectacular sales numbers.
