Check out the latest Sanyo Xacti CA6 camera - it comes in a totally revolutionary design that makes photography look urban hip and stylish. There is a reason behind the design - other than an appealing look, the CA6's rugged construction places an emphasis on ergonomics and water resistance features. It must be noted, however, that the CA6 is unable to be fully submerged. Designed to be operated with just a single hand, the CA6 boasts features like a 6 megapixel sensor, MPEG 4 video recording, and a SD/SDHC memory card slot. This Xacti model comes with 5x optical and 12x digital zoom to capture the finer details in your photos. It is able to snap pictures whilst filming a video as well.

Bios has taken the Acer Aspire 9410 for a spin and are pretty pleased with the results. This 40cm x 30cm x 4cm notebook spearheads Acer's latest foray into the 17" notebook market. It comes with enough power underneath the hood to handle several tasks simultaneously without any performance drop, but is not powerful enough to be a true desktop replacement nor a gaming machine. The Intel Core Duo processor and 1GB of RAM is great for business and office applications and nothing else. Scouting around for the best price of the Aspire 9410 have yielded a £899 figure. More specs after the jump.

Stanton's new C.314 tabletop CD player enables those who use MP3 files during their DJ sessions to scratch those CDs very much like a traditional vinyl record. Although the design oozes with retro, the C.314 comes with advanced features and functionality to satisfy even the most demanding user. It has features like a large, touch sensitive jog wheel that simulates the feel of a turntable while scratching and juggling those beats, cue points and loops, and folder browsing. The C.314 also comes with 7 built-in high-quality DSP effects where a maximum of 3 can be used simultaneously.

Intel has taken a step back from the MHz War by placing emphasis on more instructions per clock cycle and improved power efficiency with the upcoming Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme desktop processors. Codenamed "Conroe", both chips will feature Intel Wide Dynamic Execution, Intel Smart Memory Access, Intel Advanced Smart Cache and Intel Advanced Digital Media Boost - all aimed at improving performance without raising the clock speed. The Intel Core 2 Duo will be available in 2.67GHz ($530), 2.4GHz ($316), 2.13GHz ($224) and 1.86GHz ($183) configurations.

Here's a little something for those who want an alternative to the integrated sound chipset that seem to ship with every motherboard these days. The HDA X-Plosion 7.1 DTS Connect sound card from ASK of Japan will take some processing load off your processor, bumping up your games by a couple of frames per second at best. The X-Plosion supports DTS Dolby Digital 7.1 connectivity, projecting the most lifelike sound possible into your living room when used with the correct hardware. It is powered by the CMI8770 chipset from C-Media and boasts a DOC of 24bit/96kHz, 8ch and 100dB.

Shown here with pink argyle, but HP's custom skin service allows you to upload your own picture and plaster it on the faceplate or even the entire case for only $25 extra. I always wondered why Apple didn't do something like this when they were doing the Dalmation iMacs, and also predict shark-themed cases will be the top seller. [via Chip Chick] [GT]

If you have 58,000 yen to burn and a craving to mix hippie nostalgia with modern tech, plus a stack of old vinyl records lying around, and you want a very tiny turntable to put them on, haul out your wallet. The Vinyl Killer is a Swarovski-encrusted faux VW microbus that drives around the record to make it play. Takes a 9 volt battery and has its own motor, amp and speaker. [via BornRich] [GT]
