Bad news gamers in Japan, if you were looking forward to playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on your Xbox 360, well you?re out of luck as Kojima Productions has confirmed via its website that the game has been cancelled for the Xbox 360. Instead the game will only be available on the PlayStation 3. However it seems that this cancellation for the Xbox 360 is limited only to Japan, so for gamers in other countries it looks like you?re still good to go. Some have speculated that the cancellation might have to do with poor Xbox 360 sales in Japan, but either way if you?re in Japan and you want to play Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, it looks like you?re best bet is to get it imported.

LG teased us earlier with a new promo ad that boasted their Optimus G?s 13MP camera, and as much as we?d love to get our hands on the phone and try it for ourselves, a release date still remains a mystery but according to the folks at CNET, LG is expected to be hosting an event in NYC on the 19th of September, while another event will be held in South Korea on the 18th of September. While it is unclear as to what LG will be announcing, it has been speculated that the company could be announcing release dates for the LG Optimus G in the US. Given that the US market is one of the largest in the world to break into, and given the specs of the handset, we?re sure that not only is LG eager to offer it up to US customers, but US customers are probably just as eager to get their hands on it. If the Optimus G?s specs have impressed you, be sure to check back with us on the 19th of September for the details.

If we were to buy into leaks, the best source is usually straight from the horse?s mouth and it looks like Apple?s very own search engine is chock full of information that they have yet to announce. Earlier we reported that the iPhone 5 name was more or less confirmed, and now it seems that we can expect iTunes 11 to be launched alongside the next-gen iPhone and the iPod touch as well. No word on what we can expect yet from iTunes 11, but if the rumors are right, it seems that iTunes 11 has been redesigned from the ground up and is not only sleeker, but faster as well. In any case we?ll most certainly be looking forward to seeing what Apple has up their sleeves, so check back with us in a few hours for all the details!

While Apple has yet to make an official announcement, some are speculating that the next-gen iPhone will be either called the iPhone 5, or the ?new? iPhone which was the name that Apple decided to give its third-gen iPad. Well it seems like thanks to a quick search Apple?s website, the ?iPhone 5? moniker can more or less be confirmed by the search results. The links in the search cannot be clicked at the moment, which we guess isn?t too surprising given that Apple probably doesn?t want to let all the cats out of their proverbial bag before its announcement. In any case the name seems to have been confirmed, so the only thing left is for us to wait and see if the design and its specs are similar to that of the rumors, leaks and speculations that we have come across in the past. So, are you relieved that it will be called the iPhone 5 instead of ?the new iPhone??

While vacuum cleaners do a much more efficient job at cleaning up dust compared to brooms, they can be quite heavy and ungainly and aren?t as agile. However thanks to designer Patrick Pedrosa, it seems like we have managed to reach some sort of compromise. Unfortunately it?s only a concept but hopefully some manufacturer will pick up on it and turn it into a real product one day. As you can see in the rendering above, this vacuum cleaner concept marries the slim profile of a broom with the suction power of a vacuum cleaner. It comes with multiple hoses at the end which we assume can be used to ?sweep? the floor or upholstery for dust. It comes with its own recharging dock which has apparently been designed to look like a bucket. It?s very sleek and looks pretty modern and we certainly wouldn?t mind having this in our homes. What do you guys think?

There has been quite some talk about a possible Facebook phone in the past. Unlike the HTC ChaCha which was an Android based phone with deep Facebook integration, these rumors suggested a ?true? Facebook phone made by Facebook themselves. We?re not sure how we feel about a Facebook phone, let alone see a need for it, but if you thought that the idea was ridiculous, Facebook?s founder Mark Zuckerberg thinks so too. Speaking at TechCrunch Disrupt, the founder stated once again that a Facebook phone ?just doesn?t make any sense? and that they were not building one. So if for whatever reason you thought that a Facebook phone would make perfect sense and would be pretty awesome, well it looks like you?re out of luck for now. We guess in the meantime you will have to make do with the rendering of a concept Facebook phone above.

According to rumors in the past, it has been suggested that Apple could begin pre-orders as early as today for its next-gen iPhone, but is that really the case? Well according to the folks at Mac Rumors, it seems that if you wanted to get the next-gen iPhone, you could only do so on the 14th of September instead. This is based on the iPhone 4S where pre-orders for the device began on Friday, two days after its announcement. However it should also be noted that the third-gen iPad pre-orders was pretty much available straight away so it is unclear as to which path Apple will take. Either way we?re sure that there are some of you guys out there who have their credit cards prepared for the pre-order, so check back with us in a few hours and we?ll let you know when you can start swiping!
