Cath Kidston Nokia 6111 and 6230i coming soon to
the Carphone Warehouse

cath%20kidston%20nokia.JPG
Exciting news for vintage, chintzy print lovers everywhere. The queen of the floral print, Cath Kidston, has stuck 3 of her lovely patterns onto two Nokia handsets - the 6111 slider phone and the 6230i candy bar. The phones have been made exclusively with the Carphone Warehouse with Cath Kidston's new Bird, Pop Flowers and Star patterns available. The phones are up on the website now so you can register your interest (they'll be out in December some time). A couple of weeks ago (the day I got back from New York to be precise), I went along to meet up with Cath at the Cowshed spa in Nottinghill. After filling my face with cupcakes, I was just about in a fit state to conduct this video interview with the lovely Ms Kidston herself. Click play to listen to what Cath had to say about her exclusive handset designs.

My first PS3 glimpse: gaming for the elite

While at a media event last night, I got my first in-person dose of the PlayStation 3.  Without any question, the games looked amazing.  Uh-MAY-zing!  Here are a couple of pictures I took (by the way, if anyone knows what setting I need to put on my camera so the ‘fast-action’ is good enough to [...]

Sony actually launch their noise-cancelling
walkman series - the NW-S700

NW-S700_.jpg

We wrote about Sony launching a new Walkman series with noise-cancelling features here, since Play.com jumped the gun in putting them on the website. But now it's official, and they've confirmed that the new S700 series will feature noise cancelling headphones, as well as more of the same technology built into the player, an FM tuner and 50 hours of battery life. Apparently you'll get 3 hours of playback from a 3 minute charge, which is the kind of detail I like. They'll be available in a 1GB, 2GB and 4GB version, in a range of colours including pink, gold and black. Expect them in November.

Preorder here: Sony

Lovely lovely laptop tote

laptop%20bag.jpg

Finding the right laptop bag is like searching for the right glass slipper/foot combination. Too big. Too small. Too covered in fungal infections. If your metaphorical foot (i.e your laptop, for those of you that can't be bothered to stick with my analogy) is lightweight and not larger than 16", you might be interested in this laptop tote from Wrapables. It's very pretty, and at $49 for the smaller and $59 for the larger, won't make you bankrupt. Sadly, there's no shipping to the UK yet, so this one's for US readers, and those lucky Brits with nice US relatives. [Via That's Awesome!]
