Dell to focus on Alienware

Dell to focus on Alienware

Dell has decided to drop its XPS line of performance PCs from next month onwards, and will instead focus on its Alienware line. I suppose this has been a long time in coming ever since Dell picked up Alienware a couple of years ago, so it will be interesting to see the Texas-based company maintain the separation of the Alienware brand. No word on whether the XPS laptops will be retained though since those have traditionally done well in the market as well. I wonder how much support Dell will be providing XPS customers with after this announcement.

OCZ SATA-II 32GB 2.5-Inch SSD OCZSSD2-1S32G

Perhaps Benchmark Reviews like to ride the edge of technology just a little too close, since we've tested more DDR3 and SSD's than almost everyone else on the web, but the bleeding edge is what where most enthusiasts like to live. OCZ allowed us to test their first Solid State Drive product, the OCZSSD64GB (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=134 Itemid=60), and while the pricing very affordable the performance wasn't so impressive. Now just a short three months later, OCZ has returned with one of the industries very first SATA-II SSD products, the OCZSSD2. It would be a shame to give away the details, but it appears that the extra time at the design table was very well spent. OCZ's new Solid State Drive offers industry leading performance matched by ultra-affordable pricing, and sets a new record.

Enermax KB006U Keyboard

Enermax KB006U Keyboard

Most keyboards are made out of plastic, and anything shiny will definitely attract the attention of everyone. That's exactly what Enermax set out to do with its KB006U keyboard which is constructed from aluminum, so I wouldn't bang this with my hand once I've lost in a deathmatch duel for the umpteenth time. The KB006U keyboard will come in silver and black colors, hitting Japan this Sunday (May 18th). Other features include a couple of USB 2.0 ports which allow you to hook up even more peripherals to your already beleaguered computer. The Enermx KB006U measures 320mm x 183mm x 26mm and tips the scales at 800 grams.
