Have you ever watched those gripping kung fu movies, with screen legends like Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Jet Li and Jackie Chan moving swiftly and agilely, don’t you wish that you too, could be a Johnny Cage? Enter the Dragon Grip handheld toy which is said to deliver kung fu fighting sound effects to go alongside your imagination. This is yet another crowdfunding project on Kickstarter, so assuming enough dough is collected to get the project started, it ought to be worth a purchase for your little ones who no longer need to use their imagination and come up with their own kung fu sound effects.
Not only does the Dragon Grip handheld toy emits fight sounds, it also does verbal taunts and general sound effects in order to immerse the player in a video game like experience as long as there is enough juice left in the Dragon Grip. It does seem more likely to be an April Fool’s gift though, but time will tell if it makes it to the market. [Press Release]

We did talk about the SensoGlove early last year, where the digital golf glove that aims to lower your game score by improving on your swing also picked up a newer version sometime in late 2011, is now back and better than before with a spanking new advanced version. It is said that the new SensoGlove will feature a longer battery life as well as increased sensitivity, delivering a more accurate pressure read so that you can obtain a consistently smooth and powerful golf swing which might just pave the way for greater distance and lower scores. Seems to be shaping up to be a potential Father’s Day gift if the press release had its way, and it ain’t too bad a gift idea either, considering how feedback from international PGA professionals were part of the new SensoGlove’s development process. It looks like Microsoft will be integrating its Internet Explorer 9 browser into the Xbox 360 after all, according to Tom Warren of The Verge. Warren said that Microsoft is currently working on a modified version of Internet Explorer 9 for the Xbox 360 console. Microsoft reportedly said that the Internet Explorer for the Xbox will allow users to surf the web right straight from the comfort of their living rooms. It’s also reported that Microsoft has integrated Kinect gestures and voice control into the functionality, hence allowing Xbox users to surf in a new way. But unfortunately, they did not mention when exactly will Internet Explorer arrive on the Xbox. The Verge also added that the Kinect support is not mandatory and that the browser will be tuned for Kinect usage. While this might sound interesting to a few, it’s important to note that this is a rumor and that it has to be confirmed. CNET, who also wrote about the news, reportedly contacted Microsoft for a comment. “Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation,” a spokesperson said in reply.

Good news to all Opera users out there. Opera has just released the latest update to its Opera browser. Opera 11.64 is a security and stability update. Now if you are wondering why Opera skipped the 11.63 update and suddenly jumped to 11.64, the reason is that Opera had to throw out a 11.63 release a short while back for the Mac platform. Opera said that version 11.64 does not contain many bug fixes, but it is a recommended security update and it does fix some crashers and a bad nsl bug that some people are getting. Opera 11.64 comes on the brink of launching the next stable release for the web browser, Opera version 12, which is currently in beta stage. Among the features that we can expect from Opera 11.64 are the following: Introduction of out-of-process plug-ins that increase the stability of the application, fixed errors where an on-demand-plugin placeholder could lower the security status of a secure site to insecure, fixed issues with some secure pages that are not loading such as PayPal and Ebay, fixed issue where certain URL constructs could allow arbitrary code execution, and a resolved JavaScript error .
