
While Froyo hasn’t been released to the general public yet, information that the next version of Google’s Android after Froyo will be dubbed Gingerbread has surfaced. The update came from Brian Swetland, Android’s Kernel guru, and an excerpt from his post reads:
This week we’re finalizing our move to 2.6.32 for the Android “Froyo” release, and we’ll likely be on .33 or .34 for “Gingerbread”.
Whatever name Google decides to use for it’s Android OS versions, we certainly hope that the final product will be tasty (pun intended).
