Power Generating Dog Leash

Power Generating Dog Leash

If your pooch has a tendency to keep running long distances away from you while taking walks before you reel it in, this Power Generating Dog Leash will help you make use of all that wasted energy. All that coiling and recoiling of the leash will generate the power to light up the trio of LEDs that are available on this dog leash. To make it even more useful, it has a storage space that can hold doggy bags to gather up the poop that your pet will invariably deposit. Maybe it’ll be time to upgrade you dog leash when this hits the market later this year.

Jungo ZeroDriver software

Jungo ZeroDriver software

The Jungo ZeroDriver software aims to make using your computer a much more friendly experience, where it enables seamless connectivity between USB data cards (both the 3G and 4G variety) and virtually any notebook or desktop, all without having to get yet another driver installed on the host machine. Apparently, the ZeroDriver (which is more or less an all-in-one driver) supports all data card features to date, which include dial-up and high speed browsing, voice calls, SMS, diagnostics and network statistics among others. It also boasts HSPA+ bandwidth standard support, making the ZeroDriver one zippy and flexible solution regardless of the numerous hardware mobile platforms your organization has. Currently, ZeroDriver is available for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Apple updates Apple TV to version 3.0.2

Apple updates Apple TV to version 3.0.2

Looks like Apple has updated their Apple TV to version 3.0.2 without much fanfare, and this update does seem to be somewhat related to the Aperture 3.0's release, where the latter enables the way software shares images over the local network. Apart from that, this update seemed to have magically fixed long standing problems that are related to switching its HDMI output cable, while minor tweaks involving its user interface and enhanced text readability are also very much welcome. You can apply this new software update from the Update Software option that can be found within the Settings/General menu on Apple TV.

LG Lollipop 2 announced

LG Lollipop 2 announced

The LG Lollipop 2 comes in many names, where among them include the LG-SU430, KU4300 and LU4300. This clamshell handset will arrive in South Korea this week, targeting the trendier and young female population, where it boasts 220 LEDs in total - that is more than double the number of LEDs found in its predecessor, giving modders a whale of a time to modify the phone with their desired graphics or animation. Of course, you can also have specific animations done for your SMS, email and call notification. Other features include a DMB TV tuner, a built-in digital camera and GPS navigation among others. No idea on whether the Lollipop 2 will ever make it outside of Korea.

Kyocera unveils smallest LTE base station in the
world

Kyocera unveils smallest LTE base station in the world

Smallest isn't the only superlative to be used in Kyocera's latest Long Term Evolution (LTE) micro base station that will see action at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next week. In fact, it has "lightest" and "most efficient" to keep it company, and we can't wait to see it in action. Kyocera's prototype LTE micro base station is special in terms of its compact, all-in-one design, where network operators are able to complement current networks by enhancing coverage or adding incremental capacity in high-use areas. It won't weigh more than 12 kg, and boasts 8 watts of transmit power.

Generic Mini-USB pico projector

Generic Mini-USB pico projector

Are you on an extremely tight budget and yet want a projector that is small and portable and yet offers a decent performance? The Generic Mini-USB pico projector might be just your cup of tea, as this $149 pico projector comes with the standard 640 x 480 resolution, throwing a display of up to 50" in size. Strangely enough, our source says that it can only function with a notebook - but a quick check with the product page on Amazon shows otherwise, as long as there is a USB 2.0 port on your machine, it can work. Guess nobody would want to lug their desktop around when making presentations, hence that assumption.
