His and hers remote controls... sort of

controls.jpg

Ever wish your mate would do exactly what you want? I mean in a Stepford sort of way? Then don't try the Control a Man / Control a Woman gadgets. They don't work. Unless... Well, at £4 maybe it's worth a try. Just as, you know, a laugh? Ha. Ha ha. Honest. [Camille]

Acupuncture beauty treatments

Apparently, acupuncture beauty treatments are becoming all the rage in Japan. Interestingly, the inspiration came from Hollywood, where celebrities made this practice somehow glamorous. It has to happen this way, as acupuncture is too commonplace in Asia for it...

Now Play It online video music tutorial

npi_logo.gif

There's no substitute for studying the works of a master when you want to become an artist, and one of the most amazing things about the Internet has always been how close it lets you get to an artist without disturbing them in the wild. Now Play It, for example, allows you to watch experts play music you want to learn, in a tutorial form which allows you to pick up how to pick the picks. Top tutorial downloads include tracks from Radiohead, David Bowie and KT Tunstall. Each tutorial has a difficulty rating between 1 and 5, and downloads cost as little as £3. [Camille]

Limited Edition SingStar Ceramic White
Playstation 2

ps2_singstar_bundle.jpg

The Limited Edition SingStar Ceramic White Playstation 2 is really eye-catching, especially if you've just spent the last three weeks playing Soul Calibur III on a borrowed PS2 that your brother presumably wants back... sniffle. The package sports a limited edition PS2 in Ceramic White, SingStar Pop, plus two USB 2 microphones. SingStar "puts friends and family center stage singing real songs from current chart-topping stars and pop legends", providing all the humiliation of karaoke with the soothing effects of cheap home-bought booze. One wonders how much life the PS2 franchise has left in it (about until Blu-ray becomes affordable) but at $150 for that whole getup, you may not care. [Camille]

USB Tortoise hub, in theory

UHUBS002100_01_M.jpg

Is it really a USB Tortoise hub? It looks like a radioactive four-leaf clover, or perhaps a mouldy sixth-form baking assignment. Yet, since it's from Brando, it's not without its whiff of cuteness, as well as function - those squishy legs have a port on each foot and give plenty of room for even the largest and most ungainly USB flash drives. When folded, it's a very modest 5cm across. $12. [Camille]
