Most people are ignorant of the fact that you can calibrate the color on your LCD and CRTs in order to get the best possible result, and even if they do, they couldn't give two hoots about it unless they're in the DTP business. For those who are fussy about their contrast and color levels will definitely see the Monitor Color Corrector as a savior of sorts. Using it is pretty simple really - you first got to measure the ambient light within the room, attach the unit to a PC via USB, and let the device to it's thang. When the initial calibration is done, just leave the Monitor Color Corrector there and the settings will remain perpetually. This USB-powered device can be picked up for $79.95 at Hammacher. What happens to those who work in a room with plenty of natural light? The sun's constant movement will certainly require you to recalibrate every 15 minutes or so.

Not many of us can afford to plant a lovely plasma display in every bedroom throughout the house, so the next best thing would be carting just a single one all over your pad. This is made possible with the LX Display Cart from Ergotron. This wheeled cart was specifically designed to transport your display to different rooms, and with an adjustable height, the ability to rotate, tilt, and pan ensures you get to enjoy the best viewing angle at all times. A couple of shelves were also thrown in to carry your console, DVR, DVD, or basically any other items you can think of. The LX Display Cart retails for $799, which is much cheaper than picking up another plasma TV.

Back in April, we brought you news that each purchase of a Toshiba CX notebook will net you an extremely adorable yet nameless MP3 player that comes in the shape of a fish, with no probable way of purchasing it individually. All that has changed seven months down the road with the introduction of Pala-Chan (finally, a name attached to it) and his pink girlfriend, Papu-Chan. Both MP3 players can now be bought over the counter for $115 a pop, featuring 1GB of storage space and support for MP3/WMA files. Transferring files is easy - just remove the tail and butt-plug it into any available USB port. The $115 price is pretty steep though, and you could get much better deals for that price.

Microsoft apparently wants to pwn the iPod so badly that it is willing to go as far as to share revenue Vivendi Universal Music for each sale of the Zune portable media player in exchange for Universal licensing its recordings, and is currently in talks with other music labels as well as independent music companies to settle on a similar agreement. There were no percentage figures to play around with, although word on the corporate street indicated that the amount is definitely more than $1 for each Zune sale. Vivendi Universal Music has agreed to pay 50% of the money it receives through this symbiotic relationship to its artists. The Microsoft Zune retails for $250 and will be available very, very soon.
