It’s amazing how simple designs can make things look attractive, and that’s certainly the case with this cute looking speaker, dubbed the Hi-Fido, which is obviously a reference to its puppy-lover design. The speaker uses the acoustic properties of ceramic to diffuse high quality sound with a bass reflex system. If you think it would fit well into your home, you’ll probably need to act fast, as there will only be 10 of these available in the US, and based on it, you can bet that it’ll be rather expensive. Still, it’s a really unique looking speaker.

It seems that the newly announced Google Buzz has made it into the Windows Mobile client of Google Maps as well. With the latest Google Maps 4.0 for Windows Mobile, you’ll be able to see buzz’s near you or anywhere on the map. You’ll also be able to post a public buzz directly from the app, and even attach a photo from your phone. Since it’s coming from the Google Maps application, your buzz will always be tagged with a location, either a specific place, or your current approximate location. This is rather good news for Windows Mobile folks, as it shows that even if you’re not using an iPhone or Android phone, you don’t have to be left out of the fun, right?

Add to myYahoo!By Evan AckermanThis is a radio that sneezes. Once every six months, it take a deep breath, and expels all of its frustration with your horrible taste in music along with the pent-up dust that’s been accumulating on its microprocessors. This prolongs the life of the radio, and for other types of electronics, will also [...]

Many of us have been waiting for Flash to arrive on mobile devices, and if you’re waiting for Flash 10.1 on Android, you’ll probably require an update sometime in the future for it to work. We previously mentioned that Flash 10.1 should be hitting Android users this year, and we hope that Adobe is still on track to do so. Now, according to Adrian Ludwig, group product marketing manager for Flash Platform, support for the full Flash Player 10.1 will require some enhancements to existing versions of Android. It seems that these enhancements that he mentioned will be available as an upgrade to existing devices and for new devices in Q2 of 2010. Hopefully there won’t be too long a delay to get these enhancements out. After all, we all want to see those annoying Flash advertisements on our mobile phones, right?

Add to myYahoo! All DVD-burners are the same, right? So what makes one better than the next. It's rare these days to hear about an optical drive, with all the other components that are getting faster, greener, and cheaper. Today, Benchmark Reviews is taking a look at ASUS's most recent addition to the optical drive market, the ASUS DRW-24B1ST 24x DVD+/-RW. Many of us may have recently been contemplating an upgrade to our old drives. After a few years of wear and tear, optical drives can give out. Also, with recent upgrades in motherboards, you might find yourself without an IDE channel, necessitating the purchase of a newer SATA model drive. Benchmark Reviews will test the ASUS DRW-24B1ST against other optical drives with USB, IDE, and SATA connectors to find out just exactly what ASUS has in store with it's newest DVD-Burner.
